Yes definitely.
This board needs reinvigorating at this time and is currently suffering with so many different forums. It's giving the appearance that there's not much going on/not many posters/not many threads. Hopefully when things pick up again and people come back as they see what looks like more activity, then perhaps it could move back to a variety of forums.
But for now, it needs a shot in the arm to look to revive it.

Does no one remember the reasons we went to multiple forums in the first place? It's because everyone used to moan when there were non-footie threads on the football forum. Then when we got promoted everyone used to moan that there were ticket threads clogging up the footie forum. Then about three people used to post in Welsh so it was decided in the interests of something or other to have a Welsh language forum that hardly anyone uses. Then Jackfath had an idea for a trading forum where people could offer things for sale or swap, so that was considered a wizard wheeze, hence another forum. These forums only exist because people asked for them and moaned about off topic stuff. Now we're moaning because there are too many forums.
*sigh*
If it has to change, Baker's idea is the best. A football forum, combine JNF and EE into one non-footie forum and the tickets, travel and pubs forum.

That too. Some mod functions would be nice too. At the very least the facility to be able to merge multiple threads on the same subject (especially the Vermin threads which attract the most attention on here these days). | |

When I go to certain forums that only have 1 forum I tend to read stuff I wouldn't probably bother with if I had to look for it.
Ticket and travel needs to be in its own forum as it is now as this contains some very important information that may get lost if it was part of another forum.

At least when people were disagreeing or moaning they were posting. The problems I see in the past is that only a certain number of topics were displayed on the screen at one time, so things moved too quickly.
I vote No on the above, and Yes for one forum.

At least when people were disagreeing or moaning they were posting. The problems I see in the past is that only a certain number of topics were displayed on the screen at one time, so things moved too quickly.
I vote No on the above, and Yes for one forum.

Nope but we dont really have a consensus
So far we have
One board
Two boards
Three boards
As Clasie said the reason for multiple boards is that people asked for them over time. Personally I would go for two - one for all posts (bar tickets and travel) and one for tickets and travel as that does at least seem reasonably useful to have split out although when you do read it half the posts on there could belong on here.
What we have decided though is that some of the boards clearly can be placed away into the internet heaven so we can all look up and point to them when we make a post knowing that they are watching down and looking after us. Ahhhhhh........wrong topic!
I'm not even fussed on merging to be honest as half the topics that used to get merged were because the discussions were half similar but then both lost their own impetus

I remember the Janet site and the calls for multiple boards, can't remember if i agreed with it or not now but i do remember the never ending FAO type threads on there were a pain. As others have said recently, look at M.Morris board, that seems to work perfectly. | |

I'd definitely keep the ticket board as it's specific to information & requests which could easily get lost on one board.
Whether the rest is one football & one not? open minded as you can normally tell by the heading if it's football or not. Merge posts? wouldn't bother as it confuses when the flow is broken. |  | | |
