I think everyone thought Eriksen's transfer fee was too expensive for Swansea. It was surprising to see Ajax sell him so cheap (and to see Swansea actually pay 12-14M for a player). Not sure if Swansea would match Eriksen's salary demands. Anyway, Eriksen would not likely have joined Swansea.

I can also understand Danes saying Eriksen is shit after watching the Danish national team. Based purely on those performances he would not be good enough for Spurs, Swansea, PL etc.

2 Great games doesn't make a season.
He can play great but he can also at times completely disappear.

He is young so I wouldn't expect his first season to become that great though I expect by season 2-3 He could possibly be one of the best on his position in the league

I think his progression stagnated in the Eredivisie. Since the end of last season however, he has shown great progress once again, and I have been very impressed with his start in Spurs.
