I went last year, business trip so not much time for sightseeing. Make sure you visit Red Square, The Kremlin & St Basils. Moscow isn't the best looking place & the people are miserable buggers. £7 a pint seemed to be the standard price so I ended up going to the supermarket for beers.
I was advised to have look around the Metro system but I was put off by not being able to read any of the signs. I'm going again in October so i'll try & make more of it this time.
Oh yeah, the traffic is mental, 20km taxi ride from the airport (Domodedovo) to hotel took 3 hours, this appeared to be normal for Moscow as far as the driver was concerned. |  |
