Has he made the move? Looks like loads are giving this site a miss, such a shame

He's popped in briefly but you're right, it's deader than a dodo's jockstrap on here now.

They'll be back. | |
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

I can't bring myself to use one of those awful smileys - one of many painful things on this excuse for a forum, but that did make smile, Andrew. No substitute for class at test level and he's a one day player. Love ickle Joe but he needs to do a lot of work on his technique if he's to carry on opening. He wouldn't last 5 minutes against the Saffies with a new ball. As you were. ;-)

Official ashes thread on 16:31 - Aug 11 with 2256 views | pansypants | Have a look at Ballance of Yorkshire's batting average, it's way higher than Those of Root, Bairstow and Prior. Big performances needed here.

Ballance has been on the verge for a while. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a spot in the fifth Test if we don't lose this one and the series is safe. Bell and Pietersen working England into a winning position here. Hope I haven't put the kybosh on it now.

Official ashes thread on 16:36 - Aug 11 with 2249 views | pansypants | ECB, I think Bairstow is in the last chance saloon. He quite rightly has been given time but now needs a big knock. Taylor should be involved to see if he can handle this level. Root is annoying many as well despite that great ball from Harris. What about wicket keeper? I think Prior has seen better days. Maybe Steven Davies deserves another chance?

I still think Root is the real deal, not so sure on Bairstow now. As for wickie, no way should they be dropping Prior. He's struggled for runs but he's still the best keeper/batsman in the world at the moment. The balance he gives to the team is vital too.

Maybe you are right, he's no Mark Boucher behind the stumps but as a batsmen his average is impressive although of late he hasn't contributed as much as he used to. Foster of Essex is the best gloveman but a complete knob

The days of specialist keepers are long gone, Jack Russell was probably the last England had. These days if you can't contribute with the bat, you're not getting in.
