Andros Townsend on 20:10 - Apr 7 by Dunstable_hoop | You say he's painfully one-footed but watch the game again and count how many right footed crosses he put in. Then watch it & count how many goals coring chances he creates with his right. The issue with him cutting inside is more prevalent in the mind as he holds the ball for longer in those situations looking for runners. He is equally good either way. That said, I was longing for Redknapp to switch wingers over after 75 minutes. |
he did put a few right footed balls in today actually, you're right. But they weren't very good - his final ball generally is a little weak. Don't get me wrong here, he's a really good young player - i just hope he continues to improve and develop a more rounded game is all.

"he did put a few right footed balls in today actually, you're right. But they weren't very good." I very much disagree, especially early on in the game. He made a couple of poor crosses but on the whole they were very effective. Remember the two early crosses to BZ at the front post in particular, the 2nd of which was the dummy for Remy. I continued to notice how well he put the ball across on his wrong foot.
