AVB: "Lucky with the penalty? I was unlucky to finish with 9 the previous game here" 22:33 - Jan 29 with 1050 viewsQPR_ARG

Talk about lack of class!

What a miserable charlatan!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/16776541.stm

Wait! There's more!

He said before the game Terry and Anton should just shake hands and move on.

Now he says the decision by the FA to drop the hand-shake ceremony before the game was a wise one.

The quote on the penalty (if you can't or don't want to listen to the audio from the link I posted):

Q: Were you lucky to get a penalty?
AVB: I was unlucky to finish with 9-men here.

Q: But...do you think it was a penalty?
AVB: I have nothing to say about that. I was unlucky to finish with 9-men for the league.

(and then the journo turns into a-hole mode and says)

Q: Right...so justice has been done eventually.
AVB: Maybe.

Right...so lets ignore that both Bosingwa and Drogba were rightly sent off and that we scored our goal when we were 11 vs. 11.

What a classless idiot this Mourinho apprentice turned out to be!

Walk a mile in his shoes.

Had we lost 1-0 at Stamford Bridge in October in the circumstances they did we'd have been as furious as they were. We'd have been saying the penalty was questionable, the Bosingwa red card harsh, and we'd have been talking about the two penalty shouts in the second half as well. Had we then gone there and won 1-0 to a shtty penalty we'd have been saying "what comes around goes around".

See what you mean...still...he moaned like hell after the league game and he brings it back when this penalty incident here had nothing to do with what happened in October.

But I guess the worst thing is what he says on the Terry affair and how they should just shake hands (like Blatter says!) and then goes on to say the FA was right to call off the hand-shakes.

One other VERY IMPORTANT thing, mate.

We are fans. We go to pubs. We shout abuse. We never keep our cool.

But we're not paid fortunes. We're not "professionals" at what we do. We don't have to follow a certain "etiquette".

He is a football manager (and one of the best paid in your country -or any country for that matter-).

I am entitled to expect a bit of class from him. But he doesn't have any.

Completely agree. Perfect match for the vermin. Thought they looked very poor and will be surprised if he gets them in the top 4.

He's scum, they are scum, perfect fit, long may he manage them as they are going nowhere fast with him.

Difference between us getting the 1-0 result Chelsea did and them, is that with the money they've spent they should be playing a whole lot better. AVB is diverting the attention back to certain parts of the previous game as they were not great on Saturday and were actually better with 9 men last time!!! He'd be a gonner already if he wasn't so expensive to sack imho! (and they are starting to worry about money being wasted, but if Roman and Jose can get over any differences he might end up going back)

Stupid tw@t he is.

The BIG DIFFERENCE was that David Luiz fouled Heidar, whereas Sturridge dived. Horrible hairy little gremlin AVB is.

Twice within a few minutes I have to agree with you Norf. Worrying .......

I'll take our three point Premiership win every time over losing a cup match. So would they. Chelsea got the consolation prize.

Completely classless individual Villas Boas.

As said before, they fit each other. Long may his reign at that $hitty club continue, hope he drags them down out of the European places.

I couldn't make the game and heard the comments on R5. I thought he came across as completely lacking in any class. But then should we be surprised?

Sure, they could have had a bigger run of the green in the League match but, in response to a direct question, posed twice, he could have said something along the lines of "yes it was soft but we had 2 shouts in the league game and these things even themselves out". By referring to the 2 red cards, which were not contentious the journalist let him get away with a politician's answer.
