I'm not naive especially naive enough to believe that everything written in the media is totally as it is.
As has already been said it seems our new investors were of a belief we could do better than Williams before this blew up...it says so in an article or two....maybe Williams' agent knew thus and thought he was looking out for his back.
It's not the first time an employee oin an organisation has got themself another job as a leverage tool or to ensure their livelihood.

Take some time to read the BBC article which started this.
I've an open mind and my focus as ever is the team and club ...the days of loyalty are long gone the only ones who have real attachment to the club are us it's fans.

In the same article journos state how Darling is now not signing due to Williams perhaps being offski then a few paragraphs later state hiw the players are unhappy with Williams training complaining to Coleman? Surely then they Darling wouldn't be concerned.

Can we really afford to pay off a manager and his backroom staff (again)?
We need to get some wins over the four games otherwise our season could be over by February which won't help season ticket sales next season. And it may put potential transfer targets off. | | | |

Fair point...but for.me from the beginning Martin was out of his depth...I couldn't understand how the boards were lit up with how brilliant the football was having watched a dull nil nil at home to Sheffield Utd having dominated the possession and hardly a shot on goal or venturing into the opponents penalty area.
This whole situation has been caused and fuelled by the media.

There would be no need to pay him off. Put him on gardening leave and pay his wages and install another manager, it's what other clubs do, we did it with Cooper. Leicester have done it with Cooper now. If they want to move on they stop getting paid. |  | | |
