TV Tech question ? 23:00 - Dec 3 with 1138 viewscolinallcars

LFW is always a great place for advice.
We have a Panasonic smart TV which provides super picture on terrestrial TV which we've always used.
The wife coaxed me into stuff like Netflix but the picture is terrible.
My wi-fi speed is fine. Google said try replacing the ethernet cable and try turning HDR on and off. No luck.
Netflix help says it must be our “device”
Any help ?

Buy an Amazon fire stick and steam Netflix off your phone/laptop?

So the TV is connected to the router via an RJ45 cable and not Wifi?

If it is and you've got decent internet speeds, say, 100Mbps+ you should be good to go.

*Edit*

Just to rule out your internet as the problem, can you play 1080p videos in Youtube without any blurriness?

I know some call it LFW or Loft For Words however, I winder if we'd be better off calling it Loftipediia?

I've had access to knowledge on an array of topics that I genuinely believe rivals anything on t'internet. Which again makes me ask: wouldn't we be better off doing away with all the QPR stuff?

How old's the TV? The built-in apps are notorious for becoming outdated.

As others have said, you could try plugging in a streaming stick instead. I use a Roku (well three actually). Amazon do the Fire stick. There are alternatives.

Try switching it off and leaving it Off.

Have you paid for an UHD subscription on Netflix? Or have you paid for the most basic subscription?

I use a first generation fire "box" the big one not the stick. My internet is crap as but I get a great pic with a HDMI connection.

The only bad thing is I broke the original remote, you cannot get new ones to work so put it on my phone as an app.
It works but often they de-pair which is a tad annoying.

What do you mean by 'terrible'?

Is it pixelated or buffering?

Or, is it doing that funny movement, which makes everything on Netflix look hyper real?

Thanks for the advice chaps….I'm away at my sister's til Saturday when I believe there's a certain football match on, so I'll follow up then.
The picture on the various apps is like a good ol' London peasouper in the early 50s.

We use an Apple TV box with our Samsung TV (don’t bother with the built in stuff) and that has been fine.

I use an amazon firestick for all my streaming and iptv. I use an adaptor and run it straight into the router. Always best to hardwire even if Internet is quick and WiFi signal strength can drop
