... their win over Huddersfield in the FA Cup tonight means our scheduled league fixture against them on 30th November will now have to be rearranged, regardless of our result tomorrow.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

At least we now know what to expect when the game is eventually played from the long throws of Mr Tonks. They’re as good as a corner.
I suppose there’s little point in trying to bring a league game forward to fill the fixture gap?

It might also be a good thing if Oldham got a plum draw in the next round.
Anything to distract them the week before!

Not sure they’ll get a plum draw in round two!

Which one that isn’t on a Saturday?

Given the plethora of games coming up in various comps, it would make sense to just leave that day vacant now.

I was thinking along the lines of someone like Birmingham who scraped past Sutton this afternoon.

It might be worth checking if Gateshead or York want to bring forward a game from next year to this as we meet both on a Tuesday night. I am sure both clubs would prefer a Saturday fixture as they are fairer to the travelling fans. Just a thought

Or even visit Halifax? The Shay is a pretty dismal place on a Tuesday night in February.

That's why I said "Which one that isn’t on a Saturday?"

They're both playing playing league games already on that Saturday.

Braintree v Gateshead
York v Maidenhead

All four teams are out of the FA Cup now.

They're at home to Southend on that day.

Not after several pints it isn't!

Poll: What are you planning to do v Newport

Or Leyton Orient away.

Regardless, I very much doubt their forthcoming FA Cup tie will have any bearing whatsoever in how they perform in a local derby at Spotland in front of around 3,000 of their own fans.
