At last, one that makes sense.

Either way, for a player who can only last 60 minutes (Martin's words last season), he has not been good value for his salary.

These figures are just made up, they take last years accounts which give the total combined figure for the squad and then try to work out who is getting what. This article seems to be taking the figures from this website https://www.spotrac.com/epl/southampton-fc/cap/_/year/2024/sort/cap_total But look at who is getting what and it then doesnt add up, Taylor Harwood Bellis is one of the lowest players at £7,500 a week, if you believe that then you are a bit naive. Caleta= Car is still on here with £40,000, they allocate money to Cornett the last person to sign but nothing to any of the other players . I don't know why people get all wound up about these sort of articles, they are just pure speculation, in fact if they were true then our board should be congratulated at getting so many good players to play for us more for love than money

Harwood-Bellis was on a low figure last season when he was still officially a City player. He will be on considerably more now. I would imagine that if the sums weren't close to the mark, there would be legal action being threatened by players and their agents.

Have to agree Nick , I take any reports of what players are on with a pinch of salt.

Why would players or agents sue over false information on the social media? In order to prove it is false, they would have to prove it was false, with a correct figure.

Well, they could certainly threaten to sue without having to make it public.

But this isnt last seasons figures, it is this ones, THB would be on less wages when he was at City, but he would still have been on far more than £6,000 a week given the experience racked up in the Championship on loan. These are pure speculation just based on a gross figure for the entire squad , but as we can see it brings everyone out in a rage to read that Joe Aribo is on £70k a week, I think its called clickbait

Joe Aribo has been reported for quite some time on the Capology website as being on £70,000 a week. It’s a very interesting site……

Yes but all based on speculating which player gets paid how much from the accounts, unless someone leaks an individuals contract, its just guesswork

Saints' highest paid player on 12:11 - Sep 11 with 991 views | saint901 | Why does this list have any credibility? Where did the data come from and how did it end up in the hands of whomever writes this website material? Why should we believe this? What difference does it make if we believe it or not? The five mentioned are all first team squad players and their alleged salaries are probably not out of line with most PL/Champ clubs.
