Week 34 results

BURTON ALBION 0 PORT VALE 1

Ex-U's target Ryan Loft scored late on to give Port Vale a crucial victory, and end their 14-game winless run. No points for anybody from this game, as 17 predicted a win for Burton, and the other 9 went for a 1-1.

CARLISLE UNITED 2 STEVENAGE 2
Terence Vancooten's 96th-minute leveller saw Stevenage bravely battle back from two goals down to salvage a draw with bottom-of-the-table Carlisle. Nobody had this spot-on, but 5 did get the outcome. 16 predicted a win for Stevenage.

NORTHAMPTON TOWN 1 DERBY COUNTY 0
Derby's promotion hopes were dealt a major blow as they suffered a narrow defeat at mid-table Northampton, who got a first win in six games. Another game that produced no points, as 25 predicted a win for Derby, and one other went for a 2-2.

CREWE ALEXANDRA 1 AFC WIMBLEDON 1
These promotion hopefuls had to settle for a point apiece, after Wimbledon had taken the lead with what turned out to be their only shot on target. 4 had this spot-on, and nobody got the outcome. 17 predicted a win for Crewe, with 12 going for a 2-1 in what was the weeks most predicted score.

DONCASTER ROVERS 2 FOREST GREEN ROVERS 0
Doncaster collected a third successive league win as they saw off struggling Forest Green, who never had a shot on target. A superb 9 got this spot-on, and a further 14 had the outcome.

TRANMERE ROVERS 1 CRAWLEY TOWN 3
Crawley moved into the League Two play-off places with a clinical win, as they scored with their only three shots on target. A final game this week with no 3 pointer, though 3 did get the outcome. 20 predicted a win for Tranmere.

After last week produced the worst one of the season so far, it was resonable to assume things would be better this week. They were, but only to a small extent, as it was all due to Doncaster's 2-0 win achieving 41 of the weeks total 61 points. These maybe hard times for predicting football matches, but for one member it is no trouble at all, as for the second week running, burnsieespana was the only one to get two 3 pointers, in the case of this week, the only two games to have one. Also for the second week in a row he is the weeks top scorer, with a decent 6 points. Best of those to have one 3 pointer was basher2010, who got the Crewe 1-1 and two outcomes, to give him a solid 5 points.

In the Premier Although he only got two outcomes for the second week running, but just like last week it was enough for concordman to increase his lead by a point. With only 36 games left to the season, the title is now his to lose, but the race for the other Charity Shield spot is really hotting up, with 2nd to 4th only being divided by the tie-breaker rules. A useful 4 points for RSCOSWORTH, that included having the Crewe 1-1 spot-on, moved him up a couple of places, to a season high second, that continued his good second-half to the season form, that has seen him rise from 9th after Week 19. He is ahead of thrillseeker on the most 3 pointer rule, as he remains third. The late equaliser for Stevenage was bad news for blueeagle, as he had Carlisle to win 2-1, and after spending the last eight weeks in second, he drops to fourth this week. The rest of the division remains the same as the previous week, but at the bottom, by getting the Doncaster 2-0 spot-on, noah4x4 has reduced the gap to safety to a manageable 6 points.

In Division One After needing tie-breaker rules to remain top for the last two weeks, the sloid 5 points for basher2010 has given him a 2 point lead this week from Daniel, who had the Doncaster 2-0 spot-on to keep in touch. The top scoring performance from burnsieespana moved him up another two places to third. This equals his season high position, he last held in Week 24. A useful 4 points for BFG, that included having the Crewe 1-1 spot-on, keeps him in fourth. Just the one outcome for Lewis_1, and he drops two to fifth. Getting the Doncaster 2-0 spot-on made sure of bwildered remaining in the final play-off place. The battle to avoid the wooden spoon is the best I have ever known, and it could go to the final game before it is decided, as durham_exile, TheRams, Madeira163 and gerry_us all had the Doncaster2-0 spot-on, in an effort to avoid it.

THE TABLES (244 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
