Wimbledon Fred on 15:17 - Jul 22 by joolsyp | Much better from us, some nice possession football involving Chair, Richards, Willock. |
All looks kind of slow and toothless to me. The final ball is still either a big hike to Dykes, or a cross from Chair or Willock, two players not known for their crossing.

Willock on our side of the pitch, right in front of me has pulled out of 2 challenges already. Wonder why 🤨

Wimbledon Fred on 15:24 - Jul 22 with 3967 views | BrianMcCarthy | Lovely twenty or thirty seconds of football, no coincidence that it came when Chair drifted over towards Willock and the two got some lovely passing going off each other. Ends in a corner. These two have to play near each other.

Wimbledon Fred on 15:25 - Jul 22 with 3923 views | BrianMcCarthy | Willock at 10 now for a second, combines with Chair (at 7) and a decent move wins a corner. Short, wasted.

Wonder why how about it's a friendly and we cut him some slack, we're all hoping Chris can produce his best form this season, that's if he isn't sold.......

Wimbledon Fred on 15:38 - Jul 22 with 3352 views | joolsyp | Another nice move involving Chair, Willock, Paal, ends with Field blasting over. It's clear that Ainsworth wants us to get the ball forward long and quickly but then play plenty of good football in the final third.

sounds good to me. Just minimize risks at own half not playing build slowly from back, but being creative at the final third. Football ain¨t rocket science
Wimbledon Fred on 15:48 - Jul 22 with 2948 views | joolsyp | Very impressed with Wimbledon's young 18 year old in midfield. Combative but with a lovely touch. Not sure of his name.
Wimbledon Fred on 15:50 - Jul 22 with 2828 views | BrianMcCarthy | Nice half. First fifteen was sloppy and often aimless. Then Chair and Willock got going and they were the main instigators in turning the game our way. Also impressed with Dozzell and (sometimes) Richards. Last five or ten we fell asleep again. Overall, Field our best player again, pace far too slow, we'll get killed by better opposition if we play at this pace and if we treat the ball with the hatred we did in the first fifteen. Some encouraging signs thereafter, though.

Thanks as always for the updates Brian. Guess we just hope / assume the (lack of) pace is a pre-season thing?

Wimbledon Fred on 16:01 - Jul 22 with 2461 views | numptydumpty | Decent first half and top four of Richards Willock and Chair behind Dykes could be decent if all on top of their game and certainly encouraging signs of that. Dozzell and Field for me both done their jobs. Pleased with Dozzell so far. Paal good in attack but bit jittery in defence, Kaaky been caught out and too early to assess Dunne and Gubbins. Begovic I feel will be decent. Am pleasantly surprised and we performed way above what I was initially suspecting and with some style also. Interesting day out so far..

Wimbledon Fred on 16:02 - Jul 22 with 2446 views | joolsyp | Enjoyed that half. Slow start with Wimbledon on the front foot with some nice, quick passing and a few half chances but we stayed solid and grew into the game nicely. Asmir calmly dealt with some good crosses and made one good save from a decent chance. Dykes took his chance very well from a short back pass. Field was his usual busy self, Dozzell alongside him - still not convinced, played some nice short passes but really doesn't impose himself on the game like he should. Richards in the middle reminded me at times of someone now plying his trade at Selhurst Park, the way he just glides past players. Willock and Chair some lovely triangles. Looking forward to the second hald.
