Next Seasons odds on 11:28 - May 30 by Hunterhoop | Yeah, not much jumps out. I think Cardiff are a decent bet at the prices for relegation. The one club I think they have got wrong. Is Bristol City. Don’t see them in a relegation scrap. Outside chance of play offs for me. |
Just wanted to say well done for not referring to them as "Brizzle".

This sums up my feelings as well Danny. Renewing is waiting till the next credit card period, but I will be at the matches hoping that we achieve better than my expectations. However, as somebody posted, it is madness giving predictions of relegation when squads have not been formed.

You're right of course Tel, but can anyone see the path by which we end up with a stronger squad come August?

Next Seasons odds on 21:07 - May 30 by dutch | Twitter is full of Rangers fans gleefully predicting our relegation. Of course it's possible, but self fulfilling prophecy is a real danger here, negativity spreads and Wild Thing's positive attitude is one of his qualities we need to get behind. I start every season an optimist and we need to do that to have any chance of turning things around. |
of course they're gleeful about it - most of them don't actually go to matches, so they don't get to experience the defeats and get klout for their faceless twitter account

I can't kensal, but others will! I'm not expecting to lose many of our contracted players as I can't imagine which clubs would be interested in purchasing them!
Next Seasons odds on 13:42 - May 31 with 3512 views | NorthantsHoop | The positives is that Ainsworth has a bit of time now to change the negativity and losing attitude in the team and got rid of the loanees. The negatives are that recruitment will be slow and so financially restrained that the season has kicked off and we are struggling. Happy with a solid 16th next season, some goals up the loft end from our team and much better home form, as that what has been so depressing for over a year now.

I don't know about a "stronger squad", but a better team, yes. Surely we've all learned by now that a list of names that looks "strong" isn't necessarily any good, and that a list of youngsters and relative unknowns can surprise everyone. There's an alchemy involved which I could see GA performing.

Next Seasons odds on 15:56 - Jun 4 with 2914 views | Jules4367 | Ok- I know I will lose some of you here but try to stick with it and it may help you see things a different way ...and not only about the R's potential. You know how, when you are driving somewhere in a hurry, red lights can often be against you?! A lot of us will comment...whenever I need to get somewhere fast I always get red lights? (expletives deleted)! The reality is that this is not 100% the case and that it is only 25% of the time as: When you are in a hurry and the lights are green- you don't notice When you are not in a hurry and the lights are green- you don't care and When you are not in a hurry and the lights are red, you similarly don't care! Ok - some will have gone, some will have made a 'witty' comment but some will still be with me! You know how sometimes (even recently) weather forecasters predict a gloomy day and it is a gloomy day at the start and then in the afternoon it brightens up and, of course other days it doesn't they predict it is going to be gloomy and it stays such all day? Well, the thing is, you'll only know when it is going to be gloomy all day when the afternoon comes!! So - you can all predict doom and gloom for our season (or other things in your life) but the reality is that no-one...even the professional pundits and bookies 'actually' KNOW! Why not wait till mid day (Christmas) when we have played all the teams once and then be a nay sayer for the afternoon! (You probably did last season...didn't you and, as it turns out, the sun came out at Burnley and Stoke! So those who have kept with me, you can always see doom and gloom whether it is red lights, the weather or QPR's fortunes OR , surprise surprise, you can start enjoying your life and seeing things for what they are and start noticing the green light when you are in a hurry or the fact that we ain't down till we are down and there is a lot of good living and fun to be had till then!!
Next Seasons odds on 16:39 - Jun 4 with 2878 views | BklynRanger | I did have a couple of pseudo-witty comments spring to mind while reading that Jules, e.g. maybe the club should get you to do a Headspace style mental health app for next season? - honestly not the worst idea. But fair play, to be honest that's a good, positive post and maybe I should try to think that way more often.

Pseudo-witty is fine by me but even though I was critical and damning regarding the shooting during the season I am positive regarding next season. So thanks for the kind words! J

I bet you do a great Haka !!! Of course you are right and maybe it’s my age and experience of managing teams myself ( not football ones tbh) but you don’t necessarily know who the nuggets are day 1. I am a 60 year old positive guy who has renewed his season ticket, looking forward to sitting with my mate of 40 years ( Belchers) and going into the season with no pre-conceived ideas apart from doing my utmost to support the guys. I did put it elsewhere but I think a lot of people will be genuinely surprised this season as all they predict is doom and gloom. I suppose in a weird sort of way you can’t lose if you expect the worse. Keep the faith, great comments Jules

Thanks too for your support! I too have renewed and despite the last season's debacle, I am looking forward to seeing the hoops come out of the tunnel and will cheer and when they do!

Well if you read the last 6 months of posts on here criticising all and sundry, I would say it can't be that difficult. I mean surely we can improve on 70+ goals being conceded for a start?!

As one of the Twitteratti predicting relegation, I can guarantee you that I do not do it "gleefully". It is devastating what has happened to this club over the last two season, utterly devastating. Sitting at LR for most home games since October watching the club I love play like that week after week after week has destroyed me - it really is no exaggeration to say the both to the eye and by review of the stats we have been THE worst team the Championship has seen. I support the firesale 100%. With the exception of Sam Field, they can all f**k off. If we had some headroom, there might be hope that we can replace some of the crap, but we have zero funds. The thought of Niko, Dozzell, Kakay, Duke-McKenna, Kelman, Archer getting game time will only end one way. I saw someone say that it hasn't happened yet, so it might not happen and that we should focus on that and I try, I really do, but... Still, 16th is our "rightful" home, isn't it?
