Brizzle Airport 18:45 - Apr 21 with 16159 views | Togg | Sat here now waiting for the 7.45pm flight to Malaga. It's like ' Little Wales'. Accents, bucket hats, stag, hen parties. I would say 80% Welsh. Flights to Faro, Corfu, Alicante, Malaga. It's packed. The money for the subsidised airport in Rhoose is losing out on must be incredible. [Post edited 21 Apr 2023 18:46]

Brizzle Airport on 16:42 - Apr 27 by Togg | The infrastructure to Cardiff is another big one. I will say the new roads to Bristol airport have made it much easier. The downside, the council have now introduced a clean air zone . So an extra £9.00 each way for my Audi disease. [Post edited 27 Apr 2023 16:46]

Brizzle Airport on 15:50 - Apr 27 by raynor94 | It didn't prioritise Bristol over Cardiff, 30 years ago Rhoose was a bigger airport, it had the same opportunity to attract easy jet, but it lost out, the rest is history. Where do you fly to from Cardiff? |
To wherever i need to go to …. 🤷â€â™‚ï¸ As long as they fly there then i use Cardiff. Closer so less travel time etc The refused Cardiff the same freedoms as Scotland and the north of Ireland to protect Bristols business. Simple as that. [Post edited 27 Apr 2023 17:08]

Take the turning for Portbury Village and then reset your satnav. You avoid all traffic and it takes about 25 minutes. 12 miles.

Not to go off subject but the M4 Newport, money was on the table but turned down. No excuses for that one! Would have improved traffic coming into Cardiff. Maybe Bristol was entitled to that money. For years you had to bypass Ashton.

Correct Drakeford turned down the offer from the UK government to fund the M4 relief road as part of the UK infrastructure programme. Funny how he never turned down UK Taxpayers money when it came via the EU regional development fund to upgrade the heads of the valleys Road. You have to make it easier for people to travel to Cardiff Airport if you want to attract airlines and people to use it.

Not a lot in it, try it once and see if it suits you. Quite often you avoid the traffic because from the M49 to Gordano you are only on the M5 for a couple of miles. I was told about it by an airport travel driver.

If you’ve got an older car it’s definitely worth considering as the route through the Clifton gorge goes through the new low emission zone.

Even though you do briefly cross into the clean air zone, you don’t need to pay it. I phoned up to enquire about it a couple of weeks ago when I flew from Bristol and they said that I didn’t need to pay anything. This was driving in via the road that goes under the Clifton suspension bridge.

I will look into that. Did they ask what car you were driving? I presume you telephoned Bristol county council?

Some lovely villages and scenery to be fair . The locals must be absolutely delighted with the extra traffic and fumes on their minor roads.

Of course if the Welsh government has invested in the Brynglas Tunnels relief road people from Newport might consider Cardiff Airport. But Drakeford, despite the offer of the UK government to fund the M4 relief road from the UK infrastructure budget, decided to refuse it for political purposes. He of course accepted UK taxpayers money which came via the EU for major road works on the heads of the valleys road.

What made up word? I know your grasp of the English Language is pretty poor but English is still the National Language of the majority of people in Wales and of course your beloved Republic. It is also still an official Language of the EU as well.
