100% but wouldn’t have happened if we’d of got our pen Not suggesting we start surrounding the ref - but he nearly ripped fields shirt off in the box. 3 mins later he’s giving a yellow card for the same thing Did he give Charlton a free kick instead of us a pen?

Charlton match thread. on 20:32 - Aug 9 with 1693 views | BrazilNutR | all pretty poor so far... not much quality in any of our forward play. plenty of poor decision making. A little underwhelmed.. usual QPR cup fare.. which I was hoping Beale's magic would have changed,..

Charlton match thread. on 20:34 - Aug 9 with 1621 views | QPRSteve | Not much to see so far. Thomas is anonymous, barely been in the game apart from being clumped early on. Albert not seeing much of the ball either. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Charlton match thread. on 20:31 - Aug 9 by QPR_Hibs | Commentator's expert opinion is that the game is lacking quality. I guess that's why he get's paid so much. |
not surprising given a midfield with Dozy and Thomas in it.
Charlton match thread. on 20:35 - Aug 9 with 1575 views | kensalriser | Giving them quite a lot of space, I thought they might have done better when their 7 got the ball on the far side of the box with no one near him and a clear path to goal.

Charlton match thread. on 20:36 - Aug 9 with 1521 views | BrianMcCarthy | I'm more concerned about our tactics. We're set up to gift them possession. Either we get in their faces all over the pitch or we sit deep and hit them on the counter. Right now, we're pushed up the pitch but haven't let them know it. They're taking the p1ss out of us and we're watching them.

Agree about Dickie. Field has his work cut out tonight. No movement at top, i just dont see Bonne making decent runs.

Charlton match thread. on 20:38 - Aug 9 with 1438 views | KildarePete | Heavy-going - not much spark. Dieng guilty of a couple of wayward passes to Hamalainen / Kakay that put the QPR goal at unnecessary risk
Charlton match thread. on 20:39 - Aug 9 with 1414 views | davman | *YAWN* Has it started? So dull, nothing to see here. At least starting with Roberts and Armstrong would have given us something to watch. Hamalainen giving them the clearest chance of that half. Not a lot in reserve as we all knew...

Very little movement from the attack, but even if they were making great runs, the passing from Dozzell, Thomas, Hamalainen, Kakay and Chair is so poor or late that they wouldn't get the ball anyway. Hopefully, Beale won't wait too long or until Charlton score before making some positive changes.
Charlton match thread. on 20:46 - Aug 9 with 1209 views | plasmahoop | Didn't think we were too bad. Got into some good positions without making it count. Need to up it a bit though. Either hamailen needs more cover, or he is having a poor game

Hamalainen's passing is poor, his positioning non existent, his, tackling is risky, his heading is bad and his shooting is terrible. Apart from that he is a a waste of a squad place.
Charlton match thread. on 20:48 - Aug 9 with 1153 views | EmpireStateRanger | Dickie the best of the bunch, by far. But it's a problem that we've only been potent when he drives the ball forward.
