Happy League 2020/21 Week 33 (of 34) - Deadline Saturday 24th April 15.00 21:27 - Apr 17 with 3043 views | mfb_cufc | Week 32 Results NOTTINGHAM FOREST 0 HUDDERSFIELD TOWN 2 Only Huddersfield's third win in 20 league matches boosted their hopes of securing Championship safety. Well done to noah4x4 for being the only one to get this spot-on, and only TheFatGooner had the outcome. 22 predicted a win for Forest with 12 going for a 1-0 in what was the weeks most predicted score. AFC WIMBLEDON 4 SWINDON TOWN 1 Wimbledon made it three wins in a row by trouncing fellow League One strugglers Swindon, who look like making an instant return to League Two. Nobody had this spot-on, but 19 did get the outcome. PETERBOROUGH UNITED 3 NORTHAMPTON TOWN 1 Peterborough took a giant stride towards automatic promotion with a derby triumph that plunged Northampton deeper into relegation trouble. Sammie Szmodics got a brace to take his total for the season in the league to 15. A great 8 got this spot-on, and a further 17 had the outcome. CRAWLEY TOWN 1 CHELTENHAM TOWN 0 Top-of-the-table Cheltenham suffered their first defeat in four games after a late strike by substitute Jordan Maguire-Drew gave Crawley victory. only 2 had this spot-on, and 2 also got the outcome. 19 predicted a win for Cheltenham. HARROGATE TOWN 2 BRADFORD CITY 1 Harrogate get a 89th minute winner to give them a first win in eight matches. That late goal was good news for the 3 who got this spot-on, and the 4 who had the outcome. STEVENAGE 0 MANSFIELD TOWN 1 Mansfield take a major step towards League Two safety with this victory. Well done to Sector4 for being the only one to have this spot-on, and just Lewis_1 got the outcome. 19 predicted a win Stevenage. The last six game week of the season, and not a good one if you are looking for big points to make a difference. Only one game failed to have a 3 pointer, as Wimbledon made it three wins and 12 goals in a week. Of the other five matches only Peterborough's 3-1 win came out with distinction, by making sure everybody got at least a point, and producing over half of the weeks total 15 spot-ons. On such a tough week for 3 pointers two members did well to have two. Incidentally they both did it without the help of Peterborough, as Sector4 had the wins for Harrogate and Mansfield, and unitedwhites got the wins for Crawley and Harrogate. They had two outcomes each to give them a share of being the weeks top scorer with a very decent 8 points. Best of those who one 3 pointer where Lewis_1, who had the Harrogate 2-1, and TheHappyGooner, who by going 1-0 all games, captured the Crawley win. They both had three outcomes to give them a decent 6 points. Just two 10 game weeks left to the season now, and it is all to play for at the top and bottom in both Leagues. In the Premier This division has been the closest one ever all season, and nothing is about to change as we approach the last 20 games. In fact it is closer now than it has been all seaon, with top three being separated by just a point. Two outcomes for sevebalo were enough to keep him top, but he had his lead reduced to one point, as basher2010 had three outcomes. He in turn remains second on the most 3 pointer rule, as he is joined on the same number of points again by mfb_cufc, who had the Peterborough 3-1 spot-on. Just to make things even more interesting, the top scoring performance from Sector4 has put him right back into the title mix, just 3 points further back. Having the Huddersfield 2-0 spot-on has given noah4x4 a glimmer of hope of making it a title hat-trick, but it is going to require a couple of double figure scores to give him any chance. The only change in this division had Blue4U2 moving up a couple of places, and into the top half for the first time since Week 15, thanks to getting the Peterborough 3-1 spot-on. Then after that it is a case of two by two, as the next four places all got 2 points. That means the bottom three remains unchanged, but gerry_us was another to benefit from having the Peterborough 3-1 spot-on, and he improves his chance of escaping, by getting 2 points nearer to safety. At the bottom Tropical_Us is another looking for a couple of double figure weeks, and even then that might not be enough. In Division One Two outcomes were enough for concordman to remain top, but only just, as the top scoring performance from unitedwhites moved to within a point of him. It was only 4 weeks ago when that lead was an incredible 18 points. With a big 14 points back to the third, they are both all but promoted, but who is going up as Champion? In that third place is blueeeagle, who moved up a place thanks to getting the Peterborough 3-1 spot-on. In fact that was the only change in this league. For the twelfth week running ghughes11, BFG and durham_exile occupy the other play-off places, but they could come under pressure in the final two weeks, as burnsieespana moved to within 4 points of the top six, after having the Peterborough 3-1 spot-on. The decent week for Lewis_1 has revived his hopes of making the play-offs as well. If Covid allows the rest of the division will be thinking about being on the beach, although there is still the wooden spoon to be avoided, and medicine_man and Pinault_Noir both had the Peterborough 3-1 spot-on, in their effort to avoid that predicament. THE TABLES (260 out of 280 played) (Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post) Week 33 Fixtures The penultimate 10 games picked by the seasons last guest ghughes11.
