The kid is definitely capable of stepping up to the Football League and at 21 has time. If we did take a punt on him I’d be looking to loan him to L2 where he’d get games. Not saying the hypothetical signing makes no sense as it’s low risk and very much ‘the right thing to do’ strategically. Just saying I wouldn’t be expecting him to come in and tear it up in the Championship.

Hopefully you`re right and we do get the next Ferdinand or Vardy. Having watched Maidstone utd play for many years we have had players go and sign for league clubs who quite frankly have failed and are soon returned to the non-league game, one notable exception was Chris smalling, so it is possible but in his case was much younger(17).

I used to go to Maidstone Utd quite a bit... Moved to Tonbridge for the commute so now support the dark side Tonbridge Angels. Love a local ground but the quality of football sometimes is really poor. Least you see a lot of goals!

"Really poor" Stop hyping it up
When they moved back home they made the great decision of building the ground a mere 5 minute walk away instead of the usual 7 hour round trip i encounter going to watch Rangers, but alas the football quality is a million miles apart.
