Not the best XI, but your favourite, the ones you loved, had a little crush on, stuck up for when they hit a rocky patch, the ones that could never, ever do any wrong, no matter what.
Parkes,Clement,Webb, McLintock,Gillard,Thomas, Masson,Bowles,Francis,Ferdinand,Marsh. The midfield would probably get overrun but my God that eleven could certainly play!

Here’s a random second XI sticking closer to the original brief (players that gave to the cause that I loved but would never get into the all time greats)
Sommer K Walker Peacock Ben Askar M Dennis DouDou M Allen Freeman M Kennedy Spencer G Thompson
Plus the right / left back combination in the back of the programme for years that read:

Off the top of my head and with a 2 minute time limit - plus one minute for the subs:
Disco Derek Richardson Paul Parker Alan McDonald Bob Hazell Gary Waddock Glenn Roeder Ale Faurlin Dave Thomas Stan Bowles Adel Taarabt Don Givens
Subs: Parkes Webb Masson Eze Buzsaky and (a teenage) Allen & Goddard
Finally someone mentioned my favorite player and the reason I started on this journey supporting QPR back in the day and that is the sublime Don Givens .I had to check Brians original post a few times to make sure he actually left him out .I guess he never checked his sig pic . Seriously though a brilliant thread but would be much easier if it was by the decade instead of the last 50 plus years . Happy to see the love for Big Mac its such a shame he is gone to the Promised Land way too before his time RIP

I did love Givens, Clareman, but he'd struggle to make my team ahead of Bowles, Les or Gallen. We've also had heroes like Allen (briefly), Stainrod and Bannister.

I remember seeing Trevor Francis score with his left foot, right foot and header away at Villa Park in 1989 - happy days
Seeing all the great players listed makes me realise how lucky we have been at QPR over the past 50 years or so to have had so many fantastic players
U R's
I seriously considered putting Trevor Francis in my side. Too briefly here for that really, but I was young enough to consider him an old man when we signed him so the way he played was a real eye-opener.
Given that we had the likes of Colin Clarke and Marc Falco up-front around that time (Falco pretty decent actually, but not exactly our style) and long-ball merchants were stalking the land Clever Trevor was like a flashback to the Sexton era.
