FREEMAN + other former players thread 09:37 - Aug 13 with 27300 views | gazza1 | Started as sub for Sheffield United at Bournemouth, came on late in the match. The Manager had long enough to see him in training during pre-season so I presume he thought he wasnt ready to start, unless he is carrying a knock. It will be interesting to see if he is a regular for a side which is tipped heavily for relegation. I would say is that the difference from the Premier & Championship is massive.

Freeman did well when he came on and won the foul that led to Sharp's goal. He will be playing more games than he starts as sub that is for sure. Wilder really rates him.

Luongo will be a starter in time. He’d only just moved. WBA have a kid getting rave reviews at right-back so he’s kept his place. Could be a blessing for them if it pushes DF into the middle.

A bit early to call them all as failures I think. That is my conclusion. Interesting though as they were all starters for our team (two in this division)
FREEMAN on 11:29 - Aug 13 with 10855 views | robith | I think Sheff Utd have been rotating Lundstram and Freeman like that all preseason. Suspect against more attacking teams Lundstram will start and Freeman when they're trying to be more open
FREEMAN on 11:58 - Aug 13 with 10731 views | DannyPaddox | Sheff Utd finished with a midfield trio of Norwood Freeman & Fleck. Normanfleck doesn’t have the same bippity-bop ring to it as Scowaluongaman. [Post edited 13 Aug 2019 11:59]

Ordinarily I'd agree with you, but I think this is a bit different as it's the first time in a while we've sold on our best player to a higher level and I think it's natural everyone still has an affinity for Luke and wants to see him thrive in the Prem. Let's declare this the Freeman master thread for all Lukey baby action

Charlie Austin's breakfast - I've done some research. With some pork scratchings. And a pint of Mild.

These are also my own 'conclusions'. Furlong may get unlucky here as that Ferguson at RB looks to be doing a Max Aarons and coming out the academy as a ready-made 1st teamer

My conclusion is they've left QPR therefore I couldn't give a phuck.

Correct answer IMO. Let's worry about how the players we currently have are doing for us. If the perceived trading model is going to be players in and out the door as soon as we can make a few bob on them, what's the point of worrying about any of them any more than is necessary. Perform brilliantly for us, make us money and off you go. Legends used to apply to players like Stan and Macca, who devoted all or the majority of their meaningful playing careers to us. Now legends are people like Bobby Z, who was largely injured and useless during his time here, and happened to be in the right place at a hugely important moment for us. The only important thing is the club, everything and everyone else is incidental. I'm afraid that's how football is these days. Not saying I like it, just how it is [Post edited 13 Aug 2019 15:57]

Except - it's a discussion board, where people discuss stuff. P sure brexit or your cheese choice have little to do with QPR and they proliferate the boards

Not for me. I'll always watch with interest how our ex-players get on elsewhere. Also, if we want to be a selling club, developing players and flogging them for a profit, then surely we want them to suceed elsewhere. If they can do that, surely it increases the price of our other potential players when it comes to sell them? It's been mentioned by others that it is important to build up some pedigree as a selling club if we want to attract the same sort of fees Brentford players do.

FREEMAN on 18:28 - Aug 14 with 9042 views | PinnerPaul | Austin took 9 minutes to score for WBA - they still lost though. While I hate all the 'Look how well x is playing in League 1 threads' the odd mention of Mr Freeman surely is allowed. Most/everyone? understands while he was sold - we are doing OK without him....so far, so what's the harm?

I agree. To be fair most of these posters are stating their opinion that they don't care about the ex players, not that we shouldn't discuss them on here.
FREEMAN on 09:36 - Aug 15 with 8472 views | francisbowles | Saw Charlie's goal on Quest last night. It wasn't exactly goal of the season. He was in the right place to head a rebound off the bar from about half a yard. He played 60 mins and Bilic said he was lively but needs to be managed carefully due lack of pre season etc. That blonde barnet! WTF
