Smyth got 24 minutes at Preston and 45 v Sheff Utd and that was it.
BOS got 45 minutes v Sheff Utd and Preston and that was it.
Manning got 45 mins at Preston.
Kakay played three of the four, Eze played all four.

I think part of the nark is that "I've been using kids and they aren't good enough" was the line McClaren peddled to justify expensive loans and most of us remember that it was a crock. |  | | |

My memory is of McClaren saying we needed some older heads to guide and mentor the youngsters, much as Warburton has said since he arrived, and Hoos, LF and McClaren all saying we would use the loan market to achieve this, end of it when prices would fall. We did. And we stayed up, with a good spell in the middle followed by an bad fall, end of the day it worked just about. The best of the youngsters got games with us or out on loan at lower leagues. | | | |

I think one thing we can agree on is 99.9% of our fans have no clue on players wages and those who think they do are either guessing or listening to the wrong people. Imo there is no point even speculating on what each player is on |

If we lost both Freeman and Luongo we would only be left Scowen, Chair, Manning, Hall, and in the realms of fantasy Goss, who can play those two defensive roles in a 4231. As Hall, Manning and Chair may be picked in other positions then I could see it being a possibility if he comes cheap. He could possibly earn far in the MLS though! | | | |
