And do you know what? He's absolutely right. We're in a proper tight spot as a club and need to rally around the team. Yes Brentford are better at football than us, that's quite clear but booing at 1-0 down is f*cking pathetic. Can't fault this team for effort and they've shown us that again tonight. Get behind the boys.

I'm guessing most of the people annoyed with his comments left early.
I stayed to the end, never leave early as I don't see the point, yet I'm annoyed that Holloway has attacked the fans like this.
People should stay? People that have paid money of their own free will to watch that?? It was a terrible performance and the result has definitley polished a turd.
I tell you what Ian "You should have coached, why haven't you coached?"
Coaching staff should be ashamed of themselves as they aren't doing the job they are paid to do or more to the point, aren't capable of doing.

It’s a silly thing for him to do. Get a few back onside with the comeback then alienate a load more with that. But I do love the self righteous football fan who believes he’s entitled to shout and scream dog’s abuse at the manager all night (and plenty were) but then when the manager gives a bit back it’s a bloody outrage.

I'm sure most can take a bit back but for me it's the manic nature of the retort and Olly isn't really validated in his response.
Does he really expect fans to stay until the final whistle when we've not really troubled Bentley all night, made Ryan Woods look like the lovechild of Paul Scholes & N'Gole Kante, he brings on Lua Lua after lambasting him in the papers and we're losing another London derby with out much fight?

Poor form to slag the punters off. He'd have been better off praising those who stayed and highlighting the never say die spirit instead.
I am always on my toes early regardless of what the score is, preferring to get ahead of the rush. Nowt wrong with it and if I miss a goal, so what, I'll live! But as some have pointed out, they had a long journey home and commitments the next day, so if it is gash, why not get a head start? Maybe Olly should respect think about that a bit more!
Olly also ought to know that the Rfosi have put up with decades of dross and, as we pay to attend and make many sacrifices into the bargain, and if if it was as bad as some say, then maybe he should grow-the-f..k-up and not slag those off who have and will be expected to put up with dross for years to come, should they want to leave early!
He should also be aware that what goes around comes around and if his tactics are at fault, then he won't mind if it's brought to his attention. As I say, poor form by him, should have focused on the positive and not slagged the punters off!

I've got a lot of time for Ollie but this was a bit of a misstep, particularly in light of the league cup capitulation. He's just burning up a bit more credit with the fans. I wasn't there last night but 0-2 down going into injury time on a cold Monday night with work in the morning and the prospect of standing there watching those c*nts celebrating at our place yet again? Entirely understandable that a lot decided to do a runner.

Why are we allowed to call him Hollowhead and Mr Useless but he’s not allowed a really mild criticism of us?
Holloway has a much bigger platform for his abuse and isn't doing himself any favours with this sort of outburst. The senior management of the club might find his reaction a bit worrying and it smacks of low self esteem/insecurity.
There seems to be a split forming in the fan base which won't help anything or anyone.

I can understand the fans who left early on a cold Monday night, with work commitments the following day. I was watching on TV and I'd given up after Brentford's second. Up to that point we'd barely created a chance. I'm really chuffed with the comeback but I didn't see it coming.
Holly was frustrated and lost it a bit, but when his team can show that much character it's understandable. Hopefully, he'll calm down and make a more measuredcstatement later.

I've never left early.
Holloway didn't slam the Rs fans. He slammed fans who left early.
Well said. I stayed to the end and I am glad I did, but plenty around me left. Yes it was not brilliant flowing football and I wasn’t happy, but supporting your team is about the hard times as well as the good times.

Always stay to the end unless it's quite obvious we will lose and the teams effort doesn't warrant me clapping them off the field (quite often then
Couldn't go last night due to work etc but was quite lucky to stay watching until the end while sitting in my cozy front room let alone in the freezing cold with a 2 hour journey home so I don't blame anyone for leaving early on last nights showing.

I'm not impressed with his comments either, but I'm also not impressed with fan comments.
Reasonable discourse all round would be best.

He’s just come off the pitch, pumped up for all the right reasons pre 90 minutes and then got the Adrenalin boost pumping him up on 93 mine.
No time to clam down, reflect (god I hate that word), and consider his interview , so he just blurts out.
Sorry, it’s being a tad precious in my book to complain about the guy being passionate. He’s got his faults but really? I love his passion, even if I don’t agree with some of his comments, I’m not asking for his head because of them.
I understand about the crowd thing, and the passion, and I also agree that some of the dross we have had served up warrants a ‘here we go again, I’m fed up of this’ fans attitude, but let’s not get all divisive over it.
Let’s rally together, give as much support as we are able and see what happens.
My first and last leaving early at a football match as an adult was the 6-1 at Leeds. God we went home early as supporters and a team that day!

I thought the interview was embarrassing and just Holloway playing up to his soccer AM persona if I was him I would be more concerned about teaching Baptiste the basics of defending and teaching Jamie Mackie how to control a football , last night we got the breaks when we didn't against Fulham this season or villa last season when we only came alive in the 90th minute
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

I'm one of Holloway's outcasts who left early (and to be honest if i'd stayed home and watched on TV, i would've swtiched off on 90 minutes it was that bad.
Out of interest how many of us traitors had left by extra time - 25%, 50%, more?

Sorry but delighted as i am that we rescued an improbable point,, having witnessed 90 minutes of woeful tactics, shape and performance i think those of us that left can be forgiven for wanting to escape the dirge we were witnessing. 1-0 very few would've left. 2-0 is completely understandable.

Sums it up very well for me.
We all need to have a sense of humour, to be honest. My ol' man has never heard a final whistle, I don't think. I don't understand it. Every game - he leaves early, I stay. We meet in the pub twenty minutes later. I give out, he gives out, we laugh, and we have a pint.

Really, everytime he got the ball he hoofed it , his heading was powder puff and his "defending/marking" for the first goal was insult to schoolboys and how they defend
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot

Oh come on, it's not abuse. It's a manager with hi s blood up after two injury time goals saying the first thing that came into his head.
