McNulty 5 year deal

That would lead to a few lost season ticket deposits

I'd cry tears of joy if it is.

Reece Brown. Defender, most recently of Bury them Sheff Utd then Bury again. Never heard of him but I'm excited to see him purely because he was signed by Hill.

They don't rate him, but that doesn't usually mean anything.

Only played 7 games for bury, Strange Barry might be on with a few comments.

Played for Barnsley........was Hilly in command then?

Interesting move by Hill. It makes me think he believes he can instill confidence in Brown that he's lacked at some of his previous clubs. I'd be surprised if he was in the first XI for Dale straight away but he doesn't lack effort or versatility. He just needs a club he can call his home. I wrote about his release a few weeks ago.

I have no doubt that the Bury fans will be saying how bad he is and that we've made a mistake.

I also have no doubt that he'll turn out to be a very good signing and Hill will be right again.

Possession with progression.

https://mobile.twitter.com/Brown29_/status/833043960536920067, is this the guy.Broken toy again. If hilly can get a player out of him will be bigger surprise than RML.

I might be mistaken but am fairly sure he played against us for Bury, but in central midfield wearing the No:40 shirt?
If it is the same lad seem to remember he is a big unit and a physical player too although not the best in the tackle based on that game against Bury.

Maybe Hilly has signed him as a utility player a little like Reece Bennett?

Poll: Now the club has refused to move on sesaon ticket prices what will you now do?

Just watching Keith's interview at the moment; says he is a central defender or central midfielder, but can also play right back.

Also says that Andy Cannon is the number one replacement for Matty Lund, and that the days of AC playing right back are "long gone"

EDIT:

-Talked to a goalkeeper today, wants an equal no. 1
- Wants multi positional players
-When it comes to forward players definitely wants speedy players

In my view, it's defensive midfield. He doesn't have the raw pace that is almost obligatory at full back these days and he's decent from a technical standpoint, so he could provide a good screen for the back four.

Only a 1 year deal and I take it he won't be a massive earner. Easy to bin him off if he turns out to be a dud or disruptive influence, without losing too much financially.

Can't say I'm particularly enthralled but I've been wrong plenty of times before.

On Bury forum they rate him as a solid and versatile player, which sounds promising. There's quite a lot saying 'he does the simple things well' which is exactly what we need next season. Too many times last year we gifted goals by overcomplicating things with the ball and making simple mistakes at the back. Bury fans also seem to be suggesting he's more of a defensive midfielder, if that's the case we have more than enough talent going forward around that area so I'd be more than happy with a solid player sitting deep.

Wonder if this signing means the end of Canavan though, I know he may have been bought in as a defensive midfielder but with Keane, himself, McGahey and McNulty we've got plenty of cover their and I can only see Canavan being behind all of them. As for his tweet I'm sure Hilly will match him up against Calvin in the first week of training.

Careful.. there are 2 Reece Browns... t'other one is younger and has just been released by Brum having had off the field issues.

This one played for bury against us last season and gave away the free kick from which Camps scored.

My bucket shaking pal had to think a while before remembering him, telling me he was a fringe player at best for them.
