Every Watford fan I have spoken to is absolutely gutted that he's gone and not been given a chance in the premiership. They rate him even higher than Tozser and he's exactly what we need in our defence - left footed, ball playing and loads of Championship experience in a back 3 or 4. He scores goals too. Add the pace of YSY and we're really starting to shape up in our weakest area.

Thanks, well they're you go, a while back I used to watch a bit of MOTD and I couldn't help but notice on the odd occasion that Cardiff were playing that Jordan Mutch always seemed to stand out as a pretty good player so I was quite please we signed him.

On a serious note, if I were an overseas player who knew anything about our transfer goings on, I'd run a million ****ing miles instead of joining Watford. Resettle your family overseas and begin to establish yourself at a new club and then get moved on suddenly. No player would knowingly want to be part of this churning madhouse. We've ended up with a much better squad than I thought we would partly because our signings have been pretty astute but also partly because we rightly told other clubs trying to take us for mugs to hop it.
I don't want to put too much pressure on the boys but surely we're in with a good shout of the playoffs.
best thing about this is that even in the likely event we don't go up our team won't be completely hamstrung by people leaving. There'd likely still be a good spine of a team there and i'm sure the club are eyeing up replacements for Phillips and Austin now

Very clear that he isn't here to make up the numbers. Seems to have done his homework too before joining us. Watched us play, clearly had good conversations with Sir Les and Chris, wants to improve and describes himself as liking to play the ball, and attracted to team that wants to play good football.
And yes, clearly no going back to Watford. "I don't want to talk about Watford" the sheer manner in which it was said and dismissiveness of the question was quite funny. |  |
