Super U's to reel in the cod army 23:52 - Aug 21 with 1292 viewsdurham_exile

TH takes his charges to Fleetwood on Saturday.

According to the local press he has a decision to make regarding George Moncur. The only decision he has is to ensure Moncur's name is number one on the team sheet.

With no progress on securing another striker (yet) TH rely on the existing squad.

Parish

Brindley Eastman Wynter Briggs

Gilbey Edwards Moncur

Ambrose Bonne Massey

Subs

Lewington Vincent-Young Elokobi Szmodics Wright Porter Sembie-Ferris

TH has got to be more decisive in his dealings with the players - Moncur's omission possibly cost two points on Tuesday we cannot afford such profligacy with a paper thin squad.

The Cod Army was a happy hunting ground last year we need to repeat that feat tomorrow.

Safe journey to the travelling faithful.

This is not turning out well and that's an understatement.

23rd now.

And Blackpool 24th. Wow.

Oh shoot. Not at all good. I thought we were crud on Tuesday night despite the clean sheet. Walker is a big loss (though I'll give Parish time). Winter and Briggs don't look entirely safe pairs of hands and for me, too many others are just too lacking in experience. We need - at least - a solid Elokobi to get fit and take a first XI berth, Porter back, and another mature player from anywhere... fast.

"Down by March" is the verdict from my man at Fleetwood today and this defeat was down to Humes and the players rather than the officials.

Just seen the goals on Sky. Some poor defending again, especially the third and fourth goals. Failure to stop crosses and pick up opposition in the box. When will we learn?

The steward in front of us was very jolly, which was refreshingly different, he didn't say see you next season because on that display we'll be in League 2. Abysmal, even several pints of Sid Little's finest ale couldn't obscure that. And Gilbey slagging Parrish off for the second heavily deflected goal is a worrying sign.

Next time we see a good cross it will be the sign of the second coming, it seems.
