i don't think any of the reports suggest Ferdinand was a mole, it would be a disaster of QPR proportions to get rid of Ferdinand but his position has hardly been strengthened in the last week with this now happening.

Depends which Ferdinand you are talking about..

This is the last roll of the dice for Fernandes. He's gone against the fans and backed a man that looks totally out of his depth and out of ideas. He's vouching that his football knowledge, which has been found wanting at virtually every step of his tenure as chairman, is better than the fans and other club insiders upset with the current management. It's a big statement and his whole future with the club now relies on it being correct.

If we get relegated now, Fernandes has to deal with a massive financial issue, anger from the fans far worse than any grief he's gotten so far and the evidence his leadership has not worked. Will he able to continues as chairman? Probably not. That'll mean either stepping back and letting Ruben G take over, or selling the club. He won't be able to do that with the debts wracked up, so that could mean some very dire consequences for QPR.

The other thing to watch out for is whether TF changes his mind if we lose the next three or four games in a row, similar to how Hughes situation played out.

Seems to me he hasn't gone against the fans. I think he wanted to see how the players played and how the fans reacted on saturday and both were pretty positive, the players gave it their all and some of the fans quite vocally supported Redknapp.

Now on the players you'd have to ask if it was wise to assess them in a game they were all going to be up for regardless of the manager when it might have been a better idea to judge it at the Burnley or even the Stoke game. I think that shows up a compete lack of knowledge on the game but thats no shock. Lets face it if they had sacked him does anyone really think things would have changed for the better unless Ferdinand is given the power to make real changes.

I get your point, but judging by fans at most games, most Rs fans I know and this forum you're looking at 2/3s tat think he's made the wrong choice in sticking by HR. That feeling will amplify x1000 if we go down. TF will be shocked by the aggression if it happens.

It would probably be too late by then. I reckon we need 5 wins, 4 draws (or 6 and 1, which is an even taller order, in my view). In any case, you have to assume there is someone 'better' to take the helm.

I won't be angry if we get relegated - I'm happy to support us in The Championship, but I would be worried about the potential financial house of cards. I think TF may go as it makes the great stadium plan less of a possibility, and that's the big picture for him.

"Thank you for supporting Queens Park Rangers Steep Staircase"... and I thought I'd signed up for a rollercoaster.

It'd definitely be too late, but he's a real short-termist in the way he handles QPR, so more bad results and more media pressure could easily lead to him pulling the trigger. I think Fernandes' stomach for the whole thing is already gone for the most part — he thought the stadium and training ground issues would be simple, in the same way he thought buying lots of names would guarantee us wins.

Good post mate.
I was very interested in how the players and crowd were going to react on Saturday. It was clear the players were still playing for him. (unlike Sunderland at home when Hughes got sacked) and a chant about Tim Sherwood was quickly drowned out by HRs blue and white army on Q,P and R blocks. I think the crowd realised we had given them a game at least.
I am not sure this is the correct decision as there is no defence of our away form but it has at least stopped any speculation for now. This may be quite important given we are trying to attract a player or two even if it is only on loan.

IMHO - It was too late, HR had a good run at the right time and a poor one at the right time. I think we will go down, but he has to give him a little bit of cash to move. If we can get Crouch for £3m IMHO that will keep us up, and if it does not its a sensible buy for next year. I think HR will be gone in summer whatever

So losing at home and dropping another 3 points is a good reason to keep Redknapp on ?

So basically they couldn't find someone suitable to take the job, and (during this "loan only" transfer window) probably don't want to pony up the cost of a longer term contract to anyone.

So leave Teflon Harry in place as a figurehead and get some specialists who know how to set up, and get the best out of, the defence and midfield.

100% of people who drink water will die.

The thing that many posters on here forget is that an internet forum like this is not necessarily representative of the wider fan base opinion.
We exist here in a bubble, with a different level of interest and opinions not always reflective of people who go to Loftus Road. I’m often amazed when I speak to people at the ground how much of the information that’s been floating around openly forums like this that hasn’t come anywhere near being within their reach.
Remember, it’s a hard core here of informed (or often misinformed fans), but not everyone else shares the same world view.

adso of melt has overseen five wins since august the 15th .Five.

that 5 wins have taken , two weeks short of six months by the time we play stoke.

this season we have won 5 games from 24 attempts, losing 15 and letting in 43 goals at just under two a game.

where is the miracle tonic that's gonna change clive pictures on the front page of LFW every monday , of our players heads down trudging through mustard gas back to the halfway line having conceded yet another goal.

i just dont see it.. I can see no evidence based upon what i have seen this season to buck these awful stats.

if anything it seems to be getting worse. We have to score at least twice a game to get anything, where are they coming from ???.

bondy doing his JFK bay-of-pigs pose aint no good to me.

dreadful, dreadful decision to keep this flabby grey carrion at the club

Yeah ? You and Dave seem to be saying that Harry deserves our support because it was quite a good performance on Saturday. I'm just reminding you we lost, yet again, and gained zero points.
The "Harry Redknapp's blue and white army" sounded ironic to me. Got a few chuckles in the Upper.

Exactly. This forum is just a small section of QPR fans. I rarely post because it is a waste of time arguing any positive viewpoint here. It is submerged in a mass of negativity and ITK types who seem to believe anything they read in the media.

But I was at the Burnley game and will be at the Stoke game supporting the team and the manager. They need it. We need it imho.

Yawn this always comes up...

People criticizing the club aren't proper fans etc etc.

A message board is about opinions, people have differing opinions and as long as they put forward reasoned arguments then they are entitled to their opinion - positive or negative.

While getting into a spiral of negativity does happen where it's hard to see the positive and i'm sure annoys some, blind optimism is just as annoying!

People will see the glass as half full or half empty as they want to - and they are both right...

not suggesting that at all just pointing out when fans had a chance to put the knife in on saturday they sang in support of Redknapp which I didn't expect and has helped save him for now.
