Well, these music threads are much less depressing than the QPR ones at the moments so here is a link to an interesting article from the BBC site. A few surprises there but more importantly what is your best cover version.
The version most people know, ever so slightly OTT, with altered lyrics. I can't imagine why they would want to remove the reference to Cliff Richard .

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

I remember when that was at no.9 I think listening to the 'Network chart' and I think It was Kid Jensen went 'and this band have been going a long time' That was 27 years ago and they are still going
It ended up on 'Revenge' which I think is the first new album I bought with my own money on Vinyl.
At the Zombies 50th bash at Shepherd's Bush empire in 2010 they played this. (and still do) At the time I didn't realize Rod Argent was in the Zombies.

Here's a real corker - rocktastic! A Grand Funk song with a great riff:

THInking about FA Cup runs and breaking the City Ground hoodoo put me in mind of this. First note of solo comes in a tad harsh but what follows is sublime.
