I'd never let my kids wear anything other than an England shirt." Dead right. To wear another country's shirt is absolutely fcuked.

We'll said Rio on 10:37 - Jul 15 by daveB | I've seen plenty of English wearing German and Brazilian shirts in the last few weeks around London, one fella I saw in the local burrito shop I assumed he was German so said good luck in the final and he was as English as they come. I don't think I'd let my kid wear another country's shirt but I guess if you are at a world cup final it's probably acceptable. |
Perhaps he had German lineage? That I can understand. But the Beckhams are as Argentinean as edam. [Post edited 15 Jul 2014 11:59]

possibly or he just liked the shirt. I don't really have a problem with it, no different to people wearing Brazil or Barcelona shirts

It is different. You can't compare the average Joe in the street with a global football star who has a role as an FA ambassador and has fronted our World Cup and Olympic bids. I can not imagine Pele, Charlton, Beckenbauer, etc allowing their children to do likewise.

By my reckoning at least one of Beckham’s sons didn’t meet that criteria, he should rightfully feel ashamed. The others, fair enough, not something I ever did, or would do, but it’s their choice. Not their Dad’s fault. Getting a needless red card against Argentina, in a tournament we were growing into, now that was his fault. This, who cares? [Post edited 15 Jul 2014 12:56]

We'll said Rio on 12:49 - Jul 15 with 970 views | daveB | Do these rules for when you can wear a football shirt come with it when you buy one? It's a lot of money for something you are not allowed to wear too often
