Bizarrely it carried on after monk took over when I thought he was near his best. Loads jumped on the hot head bandwagon
Sheep.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Well, it didn't help he got sent off twice in Monk's short reign. However, I do agree, he did seem to improve under Monk, apart from those incidents.
Well the sending off against palace was another's error (Vorm) and he had no choice but to take one for the team. The two yellows against Chelsea , the first for a push was ridiculously harsh and the second whilst you see yellows given for them wasn't a dangerous tackle, a trip no more as he was beaten for pace. I doubt John Terry would have been sent off if he'd been the one making those challenges.

He did have a choice-we ended up conceding and being down to 10 men. Had he not committed the foul we would have conceded and still had 11 players on the pitch.
The first against Chelsea wasn't harsh at all-he cynically and deliberately stopped a counter attack. The second was perhaps a little harsh but he should have not put himself in that situation when he was already on a yellow card.
Should have known better on both.

I have often said on this board that Chico fluctuates between top class and Upper Cwmtyrch Under 9's girls team class with absolutely no middle ground.
The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

I disagree and it's already been done to death. But let's say you're right, did he deserve the venom that he got on here straight after? After one (supposedly) bad game? Ash, Ben, Rangel and Vorm have had bad games too you know. At least Chico took the rap and didn't blame all and sundry around him.

Flores red card against Chelsea was most definitely the right decision. There is no defence.
And whilst he has shown that he has the ability to do well in the premier league, he has also shown that he doesn't have the temperament. I think it's last chance saloon for Flores as Monk won't tolerate any of his nonsense, quite rightly.
And brynmilljack, it's nothing to do with having a bad game. Every player has them. It's doing stupid things, making silly decisions and generally behaving like a girl on the pitch.
Only an idiot would eat a turkey curry on Christmas day
