Exactly. If Coulson is guilty, which he is, I cannot for second belief that Brooks was oblivious to it all. It's pretty much common knowledge she was full aware and complicit and she tried to destroy evidence (obviously the actions of an innocent woman). They just couldn't prove it beyond doubt, which is a shame.

They devoted thousands of man hours to this and could only get a partial result. Same with Yewtree , Madelaine McCan etc.
The police have limited resources and large numbers of bright officers get pulled into these investigations - meanwhile local CID desks are left totally threadbare so that crimes comitted against a lot of us often go unpunished.
Not sure what the answer is to be honest but not sure the balance is right. For what its worth if they are going to lock someone up i think it should be proved beyond reasonable doubt- I see Gerry Conlon died the other day and he could have told you a thing or two about that. |  | | |
