Jordy Clasie Goes Out On Loan Wednesday, 30th Aug 2017 20:41 Dutch midfielder Jordie Clasie has joined Belgium side Club Brugge on loan for the season after finding himself down in the pecking order at St Mary's. Jordy Clasie was not a bad player for Saints, but he was an unlucky one, right from the start he seemed to be dogged by bad luck, in his debut for the club against Vitesse Arnhem he picked up an injury that kept him out for several months and miss vital fitness work that meant he struggled to play the full 90 minutes in his first season. In his second he found himself frozen out by Claude Puel despite playing well when he was used. The arrival of Mario Lemina has pushed him further down the pecking order and now Saints have agreed to let him out on loan rather than find himself uninvolved on matchdays. He has therefore joined Club Brugge for the season something that will suit both the player and indeed Saints who will get a loan fee. He still has three years left on his contract at St Mary's, so perhaps his career at the club is not yet over and he can impress in Belgium and force his way back into the reckoning or at the least show the form that he has often promised but never quite reached and kick start his career.
