And breathe... - Simon Dorset's annual deep dive into the accounts
at 12:24 28 Feb 2025

You'd probably have to demonstrate in some way that it was towards the operations of the club, but saying that, things like community projects supported by the club are not necessarily towards the operations of the club.

To another poster's point, none of us will know how stringent the auditing from the EFL is. Admittedly I haven't looked at the accounts (look at enough in my day job), but I'd imagine clubs have to list the items and value of such which they are classifying as disallowable costs, so someone at the EFL would be 'reviewing' this. Again, hard to know the level of stringency of any reviews.

Do we know what makes up the disallowable costs (doubt it) and why they increased? I presume the answer to the second question depends on the answer to the first.

When working our salaries, take about 20% of the total payroll figure off, as that will be 'on costs', (national insurance, pension and other direct costs an employer pays). The total payroll figure will include these, so to understand salaries, take 20% off the total figure.

Disappointingly the club are not even mentioning it. I understand we had a match last night and the follow up today, but they received enough messages about it to worth it needing addressing.

Or you could argue the other way, that his poor finishing/not scoring contributed to the horror of August and November.

seems they messed up, plenty of unhappy people on social media. They put them back on sale with the 500 point limit still on.

What's priority general sale? It was making you have a minimum 500 points to buy them. That's not a general sale?

No it wouldn't let you through to the ticket page until you had enough loyalty points for the time category. Similarly I was logged on at the time that allowed for my loyalty point tier. Just turns out they were all sold/in process of being sold.

Just logged on and when you go to select Portsmouth away, no tickets seem available despite having enough loyalty points, does that mean that the 80% of the tickets (besides the 20% they hold back), have been sold?

ah thank you mate. It's not on sky's website which is why I presumed they haven't.

Do we think we are safe for Pompey away to not be moved then? (Getting a ticket could be another story).

Another Injury Update

Are we over saying that we are surprised we are getting actual updates now and instead grateful that Nourry and co. were not too stubborn to realise when they made a bad decision?

If the deal was 99% happening then wage agreements between the two clubs would have already been agreed, it just needed the final signature/green light from QPR.

It shows the naive, if well intentioned, approach from Nourry, that by keeping a closed lid on things in-house, he can prevent everyone from knowing anything, not factoring in there will be outside parties with information that will eventually get out.

Decisions get made, they went for Ashby over Hayden, some work, some don't, fine, we're not all perfect. Treating everyone like peasants for the slim potential advantage of keeping everything quiet, when in reality its almost impossible in such an open media and money driven world, feels like getting the priorities wrong.
