The Peel version of 586 is an absolute banger! Couldn’t believe it when I discovered it because the album version is so different. I’m sure it’s just ‘The Beach’ renamed?

Love New Order!

You posted the picture, not me. You've got similar vibe, just curious to know if you are a fan. Sorry if I upset you.

As has been mentioned, Labour has been able to make it up in other areas - which gives me some hope.

I am concerned about the UK's South Asian Muslims community influence on the Israel/Palestine conflict and more broadly our foreign policy. I think there is a fundamental disconnect and an uncomfortable relationship the left has with those communities. Much like the right and Reform, just the other side of the coin.

I think the point is that Labour made the decision to not appeal to the left of the party concerned with Gaza and were still able to return a majority. As you say, they were able to gain from other areas, which speaks to my point of them shifting to the right.

I’d like to know where Reform have come second and the impact that will have. They received more votes than the Lib Dem and depending on your views that could be seen as a success for FPTP.

It’s clear immigration is a big issue and Labour will need to deal with it and tone down the negative rhetoric. Gaza also not a big issue judging from the results. Starmer has shifted Labour from the left and if you look at the vote share this is actually a victory for the centre right.

Will be interesting to see how many seats they get and their share of the vote.

Really enjoying the C4 coverage so far. Exit poll looks promising.

Question for any Reform voters on here - what would a good result look like to you? Would you be happy with the projected 13 seats?

It's a good mix of historical context and in-depth tactics. I found it accessible and wouldn't consider myself to have been that knowledgeable on the tactical side of the game, but have taken more of an interest since reading.

Buce absolutely nailed it, great opening post for a thread about openers!

On the ATDI tip, always loved this:

Setting the tone for what would come and always loved that they were really influenced by The Fall.

Possibly the best track on the album:

Another classic:

That was complete dog sh*t. Limped over the line - credit to Bellingham. Can’t stand that ‘sweet Caroline’ awful. We really didn’t deserve that.

I’m reading ‘Angles With Dirty Faces: The Footballing History of Argentina’ - By Jonathan Wilson.

Fascinating and well researched book that also covers the modern history of Argentina. Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed that, love watching England. Unbeaten in three, only conceded 1 and qualified top of the group.

I like it!

A good effort trying to move towards something stylish/fashionable. It’s not original, but the details on the sleeves are nice nod to our heritage and pull it away from being a complete rip off.

Bellingham was clearly the best England player against Serbia and was box to box. Yeah, he had a stinker tonight, but so did the rest of the team.
