he has been asked this before, a mod even had to get involved at one point. It's not hard to see why some do have him on ignore and others consider him a troll or a WUM.
I think, if we were down the pub and he walked in the pub would ripple, people would close ranks so he couldn't sit nearby and everybody would be saying, oh no, here's the pub bore! |

So 2 tier Keir is backing Rachel Reeves saying that her apparent "lies" about her time at the bank of England were many years ago.
So he's writing the problem off as being in the past so not mattering, he was the one talking about putting trust back into politics so lies very much do matter so Starmers judgement on this is also called into question.

The decline in standards in politics has redefined the modern public’s view of politics for the far worse. The British Social Attitudes survey reported last month that public faith in MPs, politics and government has plummeted to historic lows. According to Ipsos, just 9% of voters trust politicians to tell the truth. And only 14% of the public think MPs are in politics to help others, while 69% think they are in it for themselves, according to YouGov.
Labour’s manifesto could hardly be clearer about why this matters and what is at stake. Try this: “There is now a crisis of confidence in our political system’s ability to deliver any [Labour’s own italics] change.” Or this: “Just as corrosive has been the inability of politicians to keep promises.” Or these: “This will require a reset in our public life,” and: “Labour will restore confidence in government.”
Not “will aim to”. Will. A remarkable claim. By contrast, the Conservative manifesto contains not one word about any of this. The Tories are in denial about the crisis in politics and government. Labour seems to get it.
Whether you approve of Keir Starmer’s election strategy or not, it is a matter of observable fact that he has centred it upon the regaining of trust. Starmer regards trust as the precondition for everything difficult that his government will have to do. It is, you could say, Starmer’s secret sixth mission in government.

So it seems Starmers words were hollow, without substance because he alllows a person to be Chancellor who is alleged to be a liar and the BBC has shown the evidence.
Westminster is almost as corrupt today as it was under the tories, time will tell if they are just as useless as the tories were.

Well as you keep reminding us, Russia didn't need enforced conscription because lots of people were volunteering. Are you now saying that wasn't true and the army is very much smaller than you previously claimed?
Russia currently has about 1.5 million on active service and 2 million reservists. 600k is close on one sixth of that number. Not really enough to finish it.
What has the size of the Uk army got to do with it, we are not at war.
You really must stop contradicting your own propaganda. |

It has to be better. Maybe second half the changes will happen and with (hopefully) Franco on for Futlon, Cullen for MPH and Key, hopefully that sparks us.
It's not a great game, Wednesday aren't great either. |

I am fairly confident that somebody on minimum wage struggling to pay their bills will look at the likes of Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos and not give a rats about the 11th Century wealth gap.
Besides Musk is worth approx 314 billion in Sterling as against Bill the Bastards 173 billion so yes, the gap is a tad different.
From another perspective, the wealth gap back in the dark ages, feudalism...how is that a fair comparison to the "enlightened" modern world? A world where we have apprently learned very little even though we know a whole lot more. |

I failed the medical that day, deviated septum, I'd broken my nose playing football the week before. Then the Major who interviewed me said that my lax atitude gave him concerns about my reasons for joining. He said go away, have the op and come back in 6 months if I was really interested.
I had the op, started getting bad chests straight away, diagnosed with asthma. I was so bad I hardly even played football for 5 years so never went back.
It's one of my few genuine regrets but offset by the fact that my life turned out pretty good! |

Yeah my sons under 16 team is just like that. So many rules and extra expenses. We can afford to pay and all the parents support the club by donating extras in whichever way they can so that poorer parents kids can still play. But there is a lot of pfaff. |

Doing it ASAP seems a very good idea. I think we need more information on the French side too, have agents out there going to camps telling these people that if they come here illegally they won't be allowed to stay. That is, anybody who crosses in a small boat will be deported immediately after their biometric data is taken. |

That;s the thing that gets me, she reckons she was scared for her life when the taxi driver got angry at her or her partner throwing up all over his taxi, I say that was just BS to try and walk away. She was drunk, she damaged his workplace and she played the victim.
The policeman who came to sort it out, she called him stupid and white. If I called someone stupid and black or any other ethnicity I doubt I'd have gotten off so lightly. The court though, it has set a precedent here surely. It should be harder to comvict someone of racism now?
I think in modern parlance it would be called casual racism, more disdain than hate. |

We aren't discussing Westminster, when we are bring these things up. Otherwise you just look like a troll shouting whatavoutery to deflect from the relevant points.
Now relatively tiny sums, add them all up, the 250 million wasted on Cardiff airport, the 40 million on road signs, 23 million on Welsh, the many millions for the expanded Senedd...add them up and yes it's tiny in the UK budget but in terms of what is needed in Wales it could go a lot further and this is the spending/waste that we know about.
If you had ever been paying attention and were capable of understanding you would know that I am anti politicians in general, maybe you forgot all my criticism of Westminster, the house of lords which is also a massive waste and my somewhat negarove opinions of UK governments going back 40 years, they have all been Labour or Tory and they have all contributed to the shit state this country is in. So excuse me for not letting the Senedd off when what they do has the greatest impact on my everyday life.
Everybody knows you have an anti Westminster bias, well an anti English bias really. So again, when you talk about regaining vredibility and fake news you are again talking nonsense.
To emphasise for the hard of understanding, when there is a thread about Westminster or UK politicians, I shall contribute my opinions, when the thread is about Wales I shall contribute there too and I will try to stay on topic, unlike you. |

Now there's a can of worms! Arts and music, if they are viable then they should stand by themselves. And yes Kilky, I say the same about Westminster who give a lot of money to the national opera, why should us plebs fund a largely rich persons pastime. Any government, ANY should look after the most important things first and lookmafter the rest when it;s possible.
You see Kilkenny, making the best decisions for the people is the responsibility of ALL governments so maybe you should stop the whataboutery when we discuss the Senedd. Where the Senedd spends its money...OUR money...is the Senedd's responsibility and nothing to do with what Westminster does or has done. |
