I thought we wanted a transfer policy which was in line with clubs ethos rather than just players the manager wants. Because as we’ve seen numerous times, when the manager leaves we need to build all over again. That said, I would be amazed if Marti doesn’t have some involvement. |

I don’t think there’s many managers in the world that could have saved us last season. This season we’re changing our style of play and got loads of new players with (save 1) no experience of English football. You don’t just start playing well, it takes time. As fans, now more than ever we need to be patient. Marti has earnt that much! |

Think he proved last season we shouldn’t be questioning his character. He’s a bit injury prone (much better recently) but he’s quality defender and definitely a good character. |

Was anything said about why he missed the game today? Is he out for a bit? |

I think we look a much better side with Colback in it. Andersen has been the biggest disappointment. All the new guys need to be given time. Varrane is improving game by game. I think (maybe it’s more hope) that there’s a really good player there. The others have been inconsistent. That is expected and is why we need patience. |

Yeah I think patience is key this season for us, the club and the players. Lot of new players and no Willock and Chair yet to feature. If you trust the manager and also like the type of player we sign, then you have to give them time. Varane has already looked much better. Look at Frey this season. |

Above all this season we all (fans, players) need to have patience. So many new players and quite a few (if not most) haven’t played any minutes in the England until now. |

And if that club approaches us and it’s clear they know the contract details, then that helps us make a decision on whether to sell or not. Ie. If he’s told the contract length to other clubs, then that player wants out. |

That’s terrible news. All the best Finney. 100% echo what Connell10 says. |

But if they do tell us this info, what can we do with it? Or do about it? It only means we can praise or criticise decisions more. 2 years sound too short? 5 years what are they playing at? The only reason I can think they withhold is that if/when a club approaches qpr, if that club knows the contract length (and therefore bids accordingly), qpr know that the players agent or the player have spoken to that club first. So that may help in deciding whether he’s a player we want to keep Or not. |

Looking back at the accounts, we were losing £20m per year. Our wage bill was £27m with 190 staff. I think/hope/cautiously optimistic that it’s that number that has been the focus. We’ll get a bit more revenue and maybe get that wage bill down to around £20m. With all the player and staff departures and the types/ages of players signed, I’d be amazed if we haven’t gone some way to reducing that figure. |

But it’s not the same people making the decisions this time. Definitely reasons to be cautious over this and not sing praises too much but we can’t use the decisions when Warburton is here as reason to blame the current crop. If we sign this guy, I would still expect our wage bill to be down from last season. So, it’s down to how the transfer fees in and out are structured. |

Given the ages of the new recruits, we should be able to sell them on later. So it’s less risky than some of the previous transfers. |

Think changes happened after 1996, as we were terrible at that games. Takes quite a few years to get to results like we saw in 2012. |

Begovic - I think we’ve improved on him Kakay, Lakesh, Hodge barely played in our strong form in second half of season Dozzell - I think having no one is an improvement Hayden - let’s watch this space to see if we sign him on loan towards end of window That leaves forward positions which I agree need strengthening. |

Trampoline gold now. The commentary from the Brits is pis.s funny. They’ve got as much clue as me. “Shes crying tears of joy, I think”…….camera switches to the girl…who is distraught at being out of medals. |
