Damage done in the first half, two weeks in a row that we've allowed a horrible team to bully us on the pitch |

Needs to be done, Lloyd with a better touch and he buries Saito's first cross attempt |

Millwall are rattled, need to get something from all this pressure. |

Hook him off, touch is poor today and no pace to pass their freak of a defender. He's about to lose his head as the ref is giving him nothing |

Need Frey on with some strength up top, we're being outmuscled with our out ball |

Luton can sign as many players as they like, they're still staring down the barrel of a double relegation |

A quick look at NewsNow - QPR. So we're adding Vale and possibly a LB from Brazil? If we can keep Dunne and tie him down for 2/3 more years that's some very tidy business by us |

Good attacking addition, don't have an issue picking up these talents from academies who are just hoarding youth players |

You used to get results like this in the premier league before the money got out of control. Who doesn't remember our run in beating the likes of Arsenal 2-1 (Samba Diakite's best game for us) and Spurs 1-0 Adel free kick. [Post edited 25 Jan 12:38]

Good win, one of those games where in past seasons we would've come away with nothing. Shame we didn't put away a few of those chances before HT but take the 3pts and move onto Hull. Without getting ahead of ourselves we are making a timely move similar to Forest when they went up via play offs. One thing we are doing well is not losing and coming away with crucial draws when being outplayed. Looking up not down. |

I questioned Dunne's ability to play RB at the beginning of the season, however it's forced him to improve his footwork. What he also brings on the flanks is his physicality against wingers which I like, he contests well in the air where in the past we've been quite weak. |

Confidence and trust is a big reason, if we continue to play well it will soon come |

After sitting through 85mins of what I have recently termed my weekly charitable donation. It's clear that Marti has over complicated his tactics in a largely straightforward league. The upper loft gives you a good view of formations and players movement to which it’s very clear where it’s not working. Fox too slow at moving the ball to Paal or Saito allowing Portsmouth to screen cover. Dunne (and apologies to any huge fans here) is simply too clumsy and simply not good enough to play with ball at feet. Bar a switch to right back last season he hasn’t improved his overall game and reverts to panic hoofing the ball out of the stadium. What surprised me yesterday was rather than showing for the ball in midfield we thought it was easier to play up to Frey and build. Where has the midfield gone? Portsmouth on the other hand played neat 3,4 passes and were on attack. If we are a possession based team why are we then bypassing our midfield and reverting to hoofball. The only time this changed was when Field (yesterday’s walking red card tight rope) went off and Morgan added some movement to our static midfield. If Marti plays Field and Madsen again in front of the back 4 or 3 or 5 he deserves all the criticism. If we are to move upward then it has to go back to basics which Marti did when he first came in. 4-1-4-1 or 4-2-3-1 screen the back 4 with Field and Varane/Colback and give players who are seemingly struggling Dunne, Madsen, Fox to read the game from the bench and build their confidence with small cameos. The championship is a funny old league. Blink and it’s January. |
