Didn't Warburton take particular umbrage with you suggesting they were tossing it off during set piece training as no team could intentionally be so poor at defending corners? I think we knew Warburton wouldn't be backwards in saying his bit given his spells at Brentford and Rangers. |

The three words that resonate in this are "communication was transparent." In every substantive way, the club has gone out of the way this season to restrict and filter information, whether that be financially (transfers, contract lengths), operationally (who's fit to play and when anyone isn't will be fit, access to the coaching staff) or organisationally (who works here and what they do). Northern's already made this point but it's worth repeating - if you burn this credit when things are going well, it'll bite you on the bum when they inevitably go wrong. For those who've said "yeah but a couple of wins and this will all be forgotten" - it won't. We might have been most successful (relatively) under Briatore but I'll never forgive him the sneering contempt he held us all in. It seems Nourry has been told all this and either won't listen or doesn't care. With a bit of foreplay from him over the summer we might still be bottom and shìt but I doubt the atmosphere would be as toxic as it is amongst the support. [Post edited 13 Nov 13:04]

Do a few keepie-uppies, be good at FIFA on the PlayStation, interview the board in a Welsh accent? Fùck it, I'm applying. |

The problem with the greater fool theory is when you end up with the greatest fools to ever be involved in football. I reckon I could rock in there tomorrow as a football consultant and gib a million out of them. Silly cùnts, they deserve everything that's happened to them. We don't. |

Yeah, then the Montserrat gig came up. Up there with Bircham in the Bahamas. |

What makes you think he's interested? We treated him pretty fùcking badly. |

Shrewd? I'm a million percent confident my 2 year old niece would out-negotiate and outwit our board in football matters. They're absolute fùcking clowns. |

When Marti replied "if he scores four goals I would say good game", Dave shows remarkable restraint by not cutting in and screaming "FOUR GOALS?!? WE'LL BE FÙCKING LUCKY TO SCORE FOUR GOALS AS A TEAM BETWEEN NOW AND THE END OF THE SEASON, LET ALONE THAT USELESS DANISH POLTROON!!!" Which is probably why no-one in their right mind lets me do interviews. Or interact socially with others. |

I added it to the comments but I'll say it again here, 4-0 seems the type of score at which a decent opposition will take their foot off and put the cue on the rack to avoid embarrassing their fellow professionals. Leeds aren't decent. I was up there for the 6-1 20 years ago and that QPR team was two divisions better than this one. We were dancing the conga in the away end because, well, because. Today could be downright ugly. |

I agree though the danger is something like what happened with Steve McClaren riding an exhausted Eze for a year to keep him in a job month to month. |

It doesn't matter what I think, I'm not in charge of appointing managers am I? The clownshoe cùnts who are were inordinately impressed with being interviewed for the position by a candidate who overachieved at Blackburn, failed hard at Man City and was treading water at Fulham. So they binned Warnock for what they saw as an upgrade. How did that work out? [Post edited 7 Nov 17:25]

"The QPR players, hilariously, started whirling their arms around at the crowd" Was that to get a reaction? Fùck me, I thought they were warming up. |

If it's just a simple case of appointing the right manager, how have we not managed to do that in 30 years? |
| Forum Reply | an absolutely bonfire night of a show.... at 12:48 6 Nov 2024
We're not a bonfire, we're a bin-fire. No point looking for a manager, we need someone like Red Adair, who were he still alive and despite notable rescue jobs such as Piper Alpha and the Kuwait oil fields Saddam torched, would rightly tell us to fùck off. If and when extraterrestrial life makes contact, I'm pretty sure it'll be due to the infra-red signature emanating from W12. |

Doak against Santos was like watching a lion fùcking a sheep. I said putting two keepers on the bench is the footballing equivalent of blinking to show you're under duress in a hostage video. Well that was a fùcking epileptic fit. |

FWIW I feel the same (that the manager/head coach should be in attendance at the official, club-hosted fans forum) but from a completely non-scientific analysis of other London clubs, it's about 50/50 as to which clubs do and don't. Arsenal, West Ham and Chels** don't bother to send the manager out but have representation from roles like the "Global Director of Supporter Engagement" and the "Vice President of Customer Fulfilment." Spurs don't unless they're having a skip-fire of a season (so almost always) and Brentford, Fulham and Palace all seem to send the manager out. Waaawll send out Harris to windmill into the baying horde with Steve Gallen for backup. |
