Wednesday have their usual blue & white striped home version with an all black away strip...
They better not even think of turning up in the stripes, at least plain black creates less of an overall clash and mish-mash of colours. Anyway, if we can sort a third kit to good effect, so can they. It'll be annoying if we're in yellow.
If we persevere with black and blue shirts, we're always going to run the risk of having to wear our change kit at home as other teams don't seem to do the decent thing like we did at Hartlepool. So in answer to the original question, I'm going for white.

Wednesday have had over a week to find a change kit, there is no reason why they can't. Even now we could tell them that we're sticking to our HOME kit for a HOME game and it's their problem.
If they don't do anything, give them our away kit and let that Stuart Gray explain it on the highlights. It would be a bit rubbish if Gordon Strachan wonders why his big hope Hendo has swapped shirts for this round.
But yeah, there's also too much black on our shirts. It's not the stripes, it's the additional swathes of it.

Yeah. We turned up with our own third shirt which was white, their home shirt at the time was red & white halves. Why we thought with our blue home or green away would clash is difficult to establish.
We wore their yellow shirt with our blue shorts & white socks. Like Brazil, but with Steve Doyle instead of Pele.

Good observation on the numbers. It is indeed up to Wednesday, as they'll surely have been made aware.
cant remember who it was but remember a team turning up at Spotland when I worked there with a kit the ref didnt agree with and I think it was Parkin who was the gaffer then and Dale changed to the away kit purely for that reason as all the players had their instructions on the set pieces marking and who they were to man mark / specific instructions (eg keep on left foot).
Suffice to say Dale won - If anything we should change and play in a reserve kit of 1-11 to totally feck up the opponents instructions!

sure it was before that TVOS, I left Dale in Sept 2007 (as the team improved!)
Actually it could have been that game as I think it was actually the centenary kit and the other team had not realised we were in b&w stripes -poss Grimsby or Notts County??

Brentford was the only home game that season in which we didn't wear our home kit, although Hill had a bit of a fiddle with the shorts and socks at times.
Both Grimsby and Notts County played in shades of blue that season.
