There is always one eh?
Curt was an idol during his " great moment" Trouble is, those that were there just previous to Trundle, will be the small minority of fans who paid to watch at The Vetch week in and week out . They wont know what a "great moment " Trunds brought to the game, that was on and off the pitch.
Huw is no fool, he must bring something extra to the party

Can't equate Curt with Trundle
Curtis hada real class and played very successfully at the highest level for much of his career.

Trundle was very popular and found his level in league 1. Probably great with kids.

Although many will not have seen Curt in all his glory not many more will have seen Trundle - we weren't playing the likes of Man U, Liverpool, Man city, Arsenal and Chelsea so didn't have as many 'fans'.

Surprised at you Jobbie, I thought you would have had a better vision of the situation than that! Has someone stolen your password?

I can see the situation clearly Jill. Someone whose job role shouldn't involve any work with the first team has somehow wangled his way to Sweden with them at the clubs expense. Why? What purpose did he serve on the trip?

Welcome back by the way.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

So if he was asked to go by the people that pay him to help out in a role usually filled by someone who is frightened of flying there's a problem then?

Out of curiosity do you know his job description J?

Are you aware of some of the things people at the club like Huw Lake and Suzane Eams do that goes way beyond their job descriptions?

I'm not getting your hatred of a club employee J I'm really not,a man of your intrlligence surely knows that Lee Trundle didn't decide himself that he was travelling to Sweden in the official party.

Finally. an explanation of why he was there that amounted to more than "coz e's a fackin legend like innit".

Did Trundle bring a "great moment" to the game?
I remember his wonderful goals. I also remember the showboating which had nothing to do with team ethos. And when he left for Bristol City just before the start of the season, leaving us up shit creek. Didn't he also have rights to the name, so the money didn't come to the club as per, but to him instead?
Yes he was good for the club in the 3rd division, but legend? Some of you are very easliy pleased.

And yes, somebody must have OKed his travelling to Sweden. But are you seriously suggesting that Huw Jenkins has so little else to do that he was the one responsible for vetting everybody who travelled under the club banner?

As it was my post you quoted, just putting the record straight...not once did I mention the word legend.
Nor did I compare Curt with Trunds. I was trying to explain that both players were in the right place, and the right club, at the right time.
