Was watching the Red Sox's home game last night. It was Patriots' Day so there was a big family crowd in and the Red Sox won with a walk-off hit. The commentators remarked often what a great and festive day it was for Boston. Half an hour later all that changed.
What saddens me more than yesterday's injuries and deaths is the possibility or probability of many more to come in retaliation. The best possible scenario is that the bombings were the work of a lone US citizen or a small US group which will keep investigations and recriminations domestic.
Thank God also that the more restrained Obama is in office. If it was one of the Bushes we'd be able to hear a million military engines and jets starting up already.
Got through to my cousins in Boston within minutes. They're fine. Hope all of yours are too. RIP.

I only posted because I listen to this show every afternoon. Time difference here obviously.
I understand your point but hey the guy was there when it happened so it's understandable why he feels strongly and wants his Twitter followers to see not just the poor bloke who was horribly injured but also all those who helped him and others in whilst in fear of their own safety.
He has also been campaigning all morning for donations for the victims and families. No free health service over there.

The legitimacy of wars aside, the above post is indeed a load of old shyte.
I hope any protests done tomorrow will be done with dignity and not just look like trust fund hippies having a champagne jolly-up, but we'll see.
