Match thread v Swans on 17:01 - Feb 9 by BrazilNutR | agreed we were bad, and if analysed we didn't deserve to win.. but at the same time, thats not how football matches are decided.. if they were Chelsea wouldn't have ever won the champions league. What annoys me more than anything, is the handball incident, as I feel like we were robbed of a fair chance to try and get back into the game,.. the rules were broken. The ref should get a red card for that type of error. |
You are absolutely right. We were bad but not that bad. Swansea are a good team and we aren't the first team they have run rings around this season. Despite being outplayed we got back to 2-1 and were looking much better. We've then handed a third on a plate to them (Cesar looked like he wasn't all there today?) but come back strongly again. So what exactly was Swarbrick thinking? He's 5 meters from the ball and doesn't see that handball! And there hinged the game. We score and it's 2-3, game on, and we are looking the more likely. But it's not 2-3, heads drop and Swansea take over again. So we are not very good, but jeez just for once can't something go our way? It's not like the penalty would have been harsh, it was about as obvious as you can get. Professional referees have got to do better than that.
Match thread v Swans on 17:19 - Feb 9 with 773 views | HollowayRanger | if we scored it we seem very rarely to get the rub of the green with refs and when we do (norwich) we still balls it up ,today wouldnt look so bad IF we had got those 3 points just gotta hope villa and southampton flop now

yeah, should have used our 1 goal against Norwich, and settled for a 4-0 today....we would be sitting pretty right now. funny how things work. Still hope the Ref gets punished...
