January 2025 transfer window hopes & facts 11:08 - Jan 3 with 13491 views | CrashBandicoot | Apologies if there is a transfer thread I'm opening a thread for the January transfer window which has now opened. Who should be a potential signing for us and who should move on either via loan or permanently? I've heard Kyrell Lisbie & Gus Scott Morriss mentioned as potential targets but could they potentially make the jump from NL to L2? Some players do but others don't. Plus actual transfers that we bring in & out can also be mentioned here.

January 2025 transfer window hopes & facts on 21:06 - Jan 13 by CrashBandicoot | I wonder who they'd line up as his replacement. Then again its not our circus or our monkeys. |
Whilst nothing would be funnier than seeing Wycscum lose their golden boy and have their promotion bid derailed - that move makes no sense to me at all.

Shewsbury are doing very badly so I doubt the ambitious and wealthy fairly new owners of Wycombe will want him, I can see them going for a fairly big name by league one standards.

Frankly who cares. Luton are a busted flush and Bloomfield would be foolish to leave Wyscum. Let him finish the job at the Chairboys and go somewhere at the end of the season. But in the meantime I'm only interested in keeping Tovide and signing some new players for Colchester.

Apparently although he has gone back to Pompey at present Scully may come back to us on loan in a couple of weeks if his injury continues to heal.

I'm afraid he never impressed me and whilst his injuries have been a real impediment to his progress he never showed any suggestions that he was the answer to our goal scoring woes. Interesting that Pompey reported only yesterday that we were overseeing his rehab. Good luck Scully but it won't be at Colchester.

Bloomfield confirmed as new Luton manager, sounds like Matt and the new owner didn’t see eye to eye, both the Luton assistant managers have left suggesting Matt is bringing in his own backroom guys. EDIT! Sorry I didn't mean to attach this to the previous post! [Post edited 14 Jan 12:41]

Richard Thomas, Lee Harrison and Ben Cirne have all left Wycombe to join Matt at Luton, sounds like there are big problems behind the scenes, the new owner and directors are not popular! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

If it stops them being promoted it’s a good move !

Reading extracts from his post-appointment first interview at Luton, he seems to be making some very specific points without actually saying them out loud. “The fact that they’re all Luton supporters and that they care so much about their football club shone through, and the fact that they had a real big desire for me to join our football club also shone through, so I’m incredibly proud and very, very happy to be here. “That made me feel very comfortable and very wanted, which is huge for me. "I want to work with people who care and fans who also care – and they certainly do here. "I want to work with people who want the best for their football club, and that’s more than evident with Gary, the chairman and the board of directors. “That feeling that they gave me and the feeling of being wanted, how much research they’ve done into me and the football team that we’ve produced at Colchester and Wycombe, and the knowledge base of what I stand for, who I am and what we’ve tried to produce in our football team left me in no uncertain times that this was the right move at the right time.” And this from Mr Wycombe

The Wycombe fans are mainly understanding of his position, and realise why he has left, their very decent Head of recruitment Scott Mitchell fell out with the powers that be there and got kicked out just before Christmas, he was immediately snapped up by Oxford. I think Wycombe may well drop down the table now, as we well know interference from above is rarely a good thing!

Completely agree Durham. Why is anyone discussing Luton or Wycombe (or any other team) on this forum?

Probably because we’ve got nothing else to talk about right now?

I put this one out there. My source is a friend of a friend of a player. I trust my friend, but don't know about the rest. It sounds plausible and it would be a very random transfer to make up.

Looks to have been a promising youngster but career has stalled slightly. Where better to re-ignite it than Col U?

They were apparently looking at him pre-Xmas, so I’d imagine even more so now Bloomfield has moved. Some good news for the U’s, Oscar Thorn has signed a contract extension to 2027. He’s still a bit raw, but I reckon he’ll only improve for us.

January 2025 transfer window hopes & facts on 18:22 - Jan 18 with 221 views | noah4x4 | Samson Tovide sat in the stand with us today. Looks like it may be another two weeks before his return to fitness. As regards speculation about his future, his comment was “I know no more than you do”. There is evidently interest in him, but maybe not at our valuation?

For a young player he's already got a fairly lengthy history of injuries, so any club with an interest will no doubt look very carefully at that.
