Coventry or Luton? on 17:15 - May 27 with 2051 views | dirk_doone | We should feel proud that we've played a major part in Luton's success by removing Nathan Jones and letting them get a good manager in.

Coventry or Luton? on 10:48 - May 28 with 1621 views | Jellybaby | It would be interesting to know how much credit Luton fans give to NJ in their meteoric rise - I would imagine a fair bit..... Ref the terrible Lockyer incident, its just another example of a super fit athlete inexplicably collapsing since the mass vaccine roll out - maybe Matty is on to something???
| I wholly disapprove of what you say and will defend to the death your right to say it. |

Nathan Jones gets credit for promotions achieved by other managers with better records at Luton, Mick Harford who got them promoted from League One when Nathan Jones was taking Stoke to the bottom of the Championship, and Rob Edwards who got them promoted from the Championship when Nathan Jones was taking Saints to the bottom of the Premier League. If Nathan Jones had stayed at Luton, they wouldn't have achieved either promotion. At least Luton fans appreciate the favour we did them by taking him away: Posted by True fan on 27/5/2023, 21:08:19 Biggest of thanks to.....Southampton for taking nathan jones when they did. We should learn from that. It's worth noting how much more successful other managers were at the clubs Russell Martin has managed. Paul Tisdale got MK Dons promoted from League Two, Russell Martin only took them to 19th and 13th. Then there was a big improvement under Liam Manning who took them to 3rd and the play-offs. At Swansea, Steve Cooper took Swansea to 4th with a 44.76% win rate. Then their form plummeted under Russell Martin, who took them down to 15th and 10th with a 35.53 % win rate.
