Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Indeed with a minutes silence and the national anthem played. I'm not sure how the anthem will go down.

It would be a shame but inevitable based on what some people have had to say on here.

Perhaps they should mute the mics providing the sound to the tv cameras for the time the silence and anthem are on at least the whole world wouldn't instantly hear it. Obviously it wouldn't take long for it to be all over social media.

We are the first Welsh club to reach the Premier League Simples

Why, or is free speech only for the establishment?
I won't be entering the ground until all that enforced faux-patriotic, virtue signalling, flag sh@g!n@ is over.

Of course everyone is entitled to free speech, but why would anyone boo a minutes silence or an anthem which is to commemorate a person who has died who has meant a lot to a lot of people ? If it happens, it shows a massive lack of class.

It is a matter of dignity and protecting the image of our club.

Your stance on the other hand is a perfectly proper and very classy way of showing your lack of support and which, although I disagree with, would fully and completely support.

Apparently the "meant a lot to a lot of people" only counts for positive feelings. Ignore people with connections to the many communities that were the victims of the monarchy/empire during her reign. Just clap for the wholesome national grandmother fantasy, ignore how she used public money to pay off the victims of her son's alleged sexual misconduct/abuse charges.

It's all PR, though, isn't it. Got to maintain proper decorum and pretend the bad stuff doesn't exist. The rich and powerful get to hide behind politeness and "respect" while they continue to abuse and exploit. They can do whatever they want but God help you if you call them bad names. Arrest the protesters, don't address why there are protests. Sick world.

Let's just say you are correct for a moment.

Would you not accept that if our fans booed the National Anthem or the silence, it would make news world wide ? The reputational damage that the club would suffer with future sponsorship, even young English players wanting to come here would be significant.

Would we really want to be labelled (fairly or otherwise) with the likes of Millwall ?

The arrests are a absolute nonsense, possibly to prevent a breach of the peace, but certainly not a s5 Public Order, as political speech is protected. However, the new Protest Laws the Gvnt brought in may come into play here.

Why would rich people be detested in South Wales ? There's plenty of Welsh people that have done well.

It's a fair point but I d suggest asking the many on here who are obviously more in tune with the poor than we two.
There is a reason why pejoratives regarding Tories are allowed on here.

Are you practising for Court on here as you're doing a sterling job of defending

Perhaps because some people might not/do not see GSTK as our national anthem, have you computed that as a possibility.

Talk that the Wrexham arent going to play it, not sure if that will be the case but that is the talk.

Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

Well seeing the Welsh banned rugby from being played and the English carried on as normal maybe the minutes silence will be respected by us and not them

Absolutely. But this is a one off occasion on the death of the country’s monarch.

Some might say on the death of 'a monarch' and as regards a one off occasion the next one won't last over 70 years on the throne, we could be going through the same thing quite quickly again, I think King Charles 111 is in his 70s.

Absolutely, so let’s say eg 7 years. It’s playing the national anthem marking the death of the monarch.

Sadly I think they won’t play it. It’s a shame that such things can’t be put to one side on times like this.

People went to war and died for queen and country, I just fail to understand the reaction. I may be wrong but don’t get it
