Well that was a refreshing half. Not many chances created but do seem in complete control and denying them anything. |
Great first half. Playing some lovely stuff - lots of ‘meaningful’ passing - constructive and with intent, as opposed to ‘nothing’ passes that just boost the passing stats. Very enjoyable.

Good, if a little nervous , home win. Huddersfield showed they could pass the ball around a bit themselves, but luckily didn’t offer too much in front of goal. And they were well marshalled by our defence. Should have taken our chances first-half and the second would’ve been more comfortable.
The substitutes did ok I thought and were obviously made with Wednesday in mind.
All in all a very satisfactory win . We’re not there yet but it’s coming along nicely. Well done boys!

Maybe his work rate and pressing?
He didn't stop when he came on. Winning balls in his own half and holding the ball up well in the corner at the end.
Worked really hard when he came on.
Would Whittaker have done all that hard work? We don't know. But maybe Martin thinks he does.
