Really enjoyed it and an eye opener the time some they finally got back to Rochdale Wednesday morning.
brilliant, well done Stephen Humphrys for a superb first effort - articulate and an interesting insight into the life of a lower league footballer; a fellow fan was bemoaning the fact that Covid restrictions meant he didn't feel any connection with the new members of the squad - more of these, especially from the new boys, would go a long way to overcoming that
Begs the question how we ever score away eating food like that though. I'm sure it's nutritionally balanced, but beans, chicken breast and pasta for brekker? As if life under Covid isn't hard enough anyway?

We ought to make sure all the defenders have that breaky, it seems to work for the attackers

It was his pre match meal I thought - and for some they have breakfast then
Was a great insight. That coach looked lovely - a far cry from where we were 10 years ago.
Well done Humps

Been a revelation for me, and to think I had reservations about signing him He's a far better player now than his loan spell, strong, direct and not afraid to pop a shot off. He obviously seems to enjoy being at Dale and being back locally, but as ever the question will be how long can we hang on to him?

Fantastic blog. Has any other player matched this insight before? Stephen wears his heart on his sleeve and that's what I like. He did say in a recent interview that he was a Dale fan and for that I like him even more. As Brucie would say...he's my favourite. He expresses himself well both on and off the pitch. His last goal against Charlton was unbelievable. As for his next blogs perhaps he needs to tell those funny stories and interesting angles that unexpectedly pop up on any "trip". Obviously he has to walk a tightrope not giving out sensitive info. Yes, a job well done.

Glad I wasn't the only one to have reservations about his signing, and always great to be proved wrong in such instances

One particular supporter on another form of social media commented that the fans were “thrown a fish” when we signed him. I’ll take a trawler full thanks.

Stephen Humphrfish?
When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Urban Dictionary:
"Throw a fish
Historically, it was when one literally threw a fish on a lady in which he is interested in. In modern times, it has been known as flopping ones penis on a lady in which he was interested in hoping for sexual reciprocity"

I'm sure a few players have done it but the main one is currently Ben Foster, under the pseudonym "The Cycling GK". It's a bit higher end e.g. staying in The Hilton when Watford played United in the FA Cup, however it's far more fascinating when it's one of your own players and at a lower level.
