I suspect this has been asked before but where is best place for Sunday carveries?

Not a carvery but the Shepherds in Velindre takes some beating for a superb Sunday lunch and very reasonably priced at £15 for three courses

Monmouth Bridge Boxing Centre is meant to get a bit tasty.

You can view the venue that you're sponsoring or endorsing at the same time

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

Sounds knockout...

They do a mean bully beef and yorkshire pudding.

You don't want the pulled pork though.

Never been a fan of a carvery as it just reminds me of queuing up like a lemon for school dinners. Therefore the Shepherds system where a waiter actually brings the food to you will always be preferable.

Thanks all - hadnt considered the Afan Tavern but think the Buck will probably win the day due to the locations where everyone is coming from!

Agreed. Hate the concept of a carvery which is great if you like queuing for food whilst slipping on carrots, sprouts and potatoes that have fallen off plates of previous diners who have tried to put enough food onto their plates to feed a dozen hungry pigs.

I went to the Buck for Xmas day dinner a couple of years ago and after queuing almost out into the car park it was terrible.

The buck though does a decent carvery if you like that sort of thing. And there’s a nice atmosphere there.

Olchfa House which is now that Miller steakhouse used to be a Toby carvery.
It had a sign on the gravy one time I went there that read "Please don't dip your fingers into the gravy to taste"

I’ve not tried any of the above but have bookmarked a few for future. The Buck is the closest to me so will try that first. Being a resident of Llanelli we very rarely venture further than Llangenech for eating out on a Sunday.
