Craig Dawson on 16:33 - Jun 30 by Yorkshire_Dale | Hey Dale 92 be careful,we have had the doors to the toilets in the Sandy painted a few months back and a new "Gents" sign to replace the scrawny highligher writing.......still smells like Grimsby though. |

Craig Dawson on 09:37 - Jun 30 by electricblue | Painting the stadium is nothing in comparrison to what a training ground would cost. Infact it would be a small pertcentage to paint the ground..... What dale need to do is a financial plan spread over 10yrs to get a 4g training setup and grass pitch and bring it into the community and etc and earn some monies from the hire..... Prime example is the about 10yrs ago when i used to run an under 16s team on a thursday evening we would train on grass for 30mins and then pay £25 for a 1/3 of the astroturf pitch.. 3 teams training per hr is £75 .. That is £300 per evening 6pm/10pm Muliply that over 5 nights is £1500..... Based on 50wks usage that is £75k minimum annual income Add to that 4g 5 aside pitches they can hire at night and over the weekends infact the football in the community could use them aswell.. So it can be done...... [Post edited 30 Jun 2019 9:47]

This post shows, in my opinion, how poorly the UK compares to others in nearby Europe, to the provision of good sporting facilities. I recall going on exchanges to both Tourcoing and Bielefeld, and a few trips with teams I coached, seeing how every village had a floodlit pitch, athletic track and other decent facilities. Similarly, here in NZ in a town of 15 thousand there are more facilities, which enable teams in all age grades to play at all levels, not just the top level. Trials are held to establish the level a child will play at, not whether they will get to play at all.

Craig Dawson on 13:37 - Jul 2 with 1956 views | Cleedale | ...or the reduced percentage add-on figure circulating. The £750k amount I'd heard does seem to sound abt. right. Will all this (supposed) tightening of 'contracts' be most detrimental to clubs like ourselves who rely so highly on these moves? Sure I read on the bury board that their adopted bolton fan (who keeps telling them they''ll be OK) quoted that they must NOT sign any one player above £6k - £7k per week this season. (notlob btw). So that's £300K-£350K per year!! If true, once again, what's the point in these 12pt deductions - it's making a complete mockery of so-called rules. Am I right in thinking they've just 'written-off' circa. £175M??!!!

It's a point worthy of philosophical debate, but much better to just take the piss out of them
