If this is true we’d be mad not to say yes. Only caveat being that Cooper must have funds to replace him. Even better if we could bump it up to £15million
McBurnie to Sheffield Utd/Brighton for £12 million? on 17:22 - Jul 17 by monmouth
Anyone buying us now in our current state will almost inevitably be worse than the way we have been managed since relegation. We are not an attractive saleable asset. Look how long it took our desperate 'fans' board to find someone - anyone - gullible enough to believe their fairy tales and pony up their cash.
The Yanks have basically 'gone' by the look of it. They have employed Birch to manage the club and, whether it ends up in tears or not, you have to judge by actions, and every move he's made so far has been as sure footed as we could possibly have hoped.
Like them or not (and I don't as it happens), it is in both their and our interest to try and build a sustainable self funding club that can have a tilt at promotion in the future. As always with these things, that might obviously turn to shit, but until there is real evidence that they have other malevolent intentions, we are actually looking to be in relatively decent hands at the moment.
I wonder - if we are in the top 6 and playing well at Christmas with the Ayews and Baston long gone- will the Americans splash some cash to try to get promoted?

Everything Birch has done and said thus far confirms what has largely been apparent since day one. The Americans are very hands off owners. Not particularly interested in the day to day running of the club. They bought it as an investment rather than as something to heavily engage in.
No doubt they have spent long hours rueing their decision to almost totally delegate the running of the club to Jenkins. Can't be much doubt that the financial mess we're in is largely down to him (although they do bear ultimate responsibility for their lack of oversight). As you say, the current situation seems far more a child of incompetence than malice.
Thus far Birch seems a far more capable pair of hands doing a pretty good job with the mess he inherited.

And, speaking tonight on, Wilder revealed: "We're really close to another addition, so we're quite excited," Wilder said on Alan Biggs' Sheffield Live! show.
"I think we'll break the record a third time and might break it again, which is exciting news as a club.
I want another four to come in, which will give us a nice number to work with. We don't want to over-bloat the squad."

McBurnies off then.
. if they don't want to 'over-bloat their squad' they should go away and leave us alone.
birch needs to stay really strong, I hope he doesn't give in. .

The next one would be that Mousset, how many strikers do they actually need? I’ll be amazed if they go big again for Mcburnie, but I suppose if they did end up going down, they’d be prepared for an immediate promotion push, similar to what Cardiff are trying to do.

Hands off owners? One of the first things they did was to make Bob Bradley manager. Not even Jenkins' biggest enemy would blame that one on him.
Dont want to read much into it but McBurnies agent is Stellar Football LTD who Sheffield United legend Chris Morgan works for, who happened to bring Jagielka back to them on the same agency.

Wrong - the was Jenkins. Possibly because he thought it would go down well with the American consortium. On paper Bradley was a decent bet but for me the way Guidlin was treated by the club was the lowest point in our history. Weeks of speculation about his sacking with more frequent and more disgraceful media output not countered. On top of that he was getting us back to speed following the late return of half the senior internationals.

Well, no. Bradley was clearly the Americans first and last attempt to directly control matters.

So the person appointing Bobly was the same person treating Guidolin like shit. Confirms all I need to know.

A conditioned loan could be offered to the club.
I believe that is the right way to run a club.
Splashing the cash favours mercenary tendencies and agents agendas.
Conditiones loans favours strengrgening youth policy and scouting.
Two strong clubs in South Wales is good for the economy.
Two promoted clubs to the EPL would be a first.

On paper Bradley was a decent bet? No he fcking wasn’t! He’d had a 30 year second rate career and they put him in change of a PL club for God’s sake. On paper he was just as much a failure as he was in person. We aren’t talking a manager in his early 40s, with his own ideas, being brought in to work with a very young team in the Championship. This was a lower level, managerial journeyman with no tactical nous being brought in purely because he was American. Most people on here called that before, during and after his reign.
Jenkins and his crew are responsible for a lot of negative stuff here over the past few seasons. To even attempt to pass this off as anything other than an embarrassing, nepotistic, vanity project by Steve and Jase is just silly.

What i don't understand is Jenkins gets the blame for signing Baston and eyes does not t get the credit for signing James and macbernie?
Are you winding us up, or related to Huw, or just terminally stupid? I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you’re a Cardiff fan on a bit of a jolly
