Are we being stripped bare or getting our house In order on 19:09 - Jan 31 by JACKMANANDBOY
That's not the point.
If he'd asked to leave and here was a deal on the table he's have been gone.James did ask and there was a bid from Leeds - our club has got the best deal they could from an inevitable situation.
Looking at the Leeds boards is interesting - by no means all convinced and many more delighted with getting one over on the Swans than the signing.

We know it so I doubt its a big secret in football - our board will drop their knickers at the first sighting of a wallet opening. when have we ever turned anyone down? I don't believe for a split second that Dan James asked to leave either that is utter nonsense and if its Jenkins or Pearlman saying it then I believe it even less.
Our club is a basket case we are being treated like mugs and having the pi$$ taken out of us time after time after time the couple of you who will swallow anything and everything will be the only ones left. these shysters should go public and face the music. What will it take for people like you to say it as it is? you can't be happy with the current situation? the timing of the deal it all stinks and is being deliberately done by cowards. Shameful cowards.

Birmingham have just turned down a fourth bid for their striker. Can you imagine us turning anyone down four times for anyone? it would take one call and we'd ring em back straight away and take their first offer. Stripping us bare because they won't dip into their own pockets or have awkward conversations with their funders and they don't get any $hite anyway so who cares. Pearlman, Jenkins, DeNeen, JVZ do any of them even have a terse word thrown their way on a match day or do people who come across them say hello smile and shake their hand? They should be ashamed of themselves the lot of them
And Birmingham have no money

Bullshyte. The club could have killed this dead in the water weeks ago, instead they let it rumble on.
The only reason this is happening because they wanted to sell him

I would say that the way they coached and treated Grimes and his current performances for Swansea is more to smile about. As for getting one over us, it shows how small a club they have become if they get a knob on signing a player like James. Their expectation of him will affect him badly.

they are looking to make a bit of money for their shareholders I would guess as they slowly mothball the club. obviously won't be the riches of the premier league but they can probably find a few quid here and there as the parachute payments sustain the club?
