Your a professional footballer, in the bank you are worth around 50 million, you earn 110k a week, the club that got you those millions and all the recognition are in the shit having been relegated, some of it your fault.
The coffers are pretty low, you are asked to take a pay cut down to 45k for one season and get the club back on line.

What do you do?

Wilf isn’t really worth anything in his current state. It’s incredible to think a player like him, good, not great though, has he been contributing / playing in a team that won much etc? His best days were with you lot. Yet he has 50 mill in the bank....begs belief

At that exchange rate it would have to have been 1954!

Current market value on Transfermarkt is £9million
Ranked joint 8th highest value in the Championship

Reported to be earning £5 million a year but part subsidised by Man City!
(But we would surely be offsetting that with insurance cash while he is injured?)

Given his value will be lowered until he is fit I'd hang on at least until January.
We won't get much for him in a sale.
Would we get goals from a new £5 million striker? We are pretty sure we will from a fit Bony (if he isn't fir no one will buy him anyway).
